Okay, so I’ve been meaning to share this story for a while now, and it’s about the time I got involved with this kid, Liam Jack Diallo Hayden. It all started back in 2000, March 26th to be exact. That’s when he was born, and it’s also when he was adopted by Tom Hayden and Barbara Williams. Now, I knew Tom and Barbara – they were married in ’93, and they were together until Tom passed away. Good folks, those two.

I remember when they brought Liam home. I was living in Los Angeles at the time, close to where they lived. And those days, they needed an extra pair of hands. I got a call from Barbara one day, asking if I could come over and help them out. I thought, “Why not?” and I went over.
Getting to Know Liam
When I got there, they were just settling in with Liam. He was days old, this little bundle of joy. I helped around the house, did some chores, and got to know Liam. He was a quiet baby, easy to look after, and I got to spend a lot of time with him in those first few weeks.
I remember Barbara, being an actress and all, she was always busy. Tom was always busy with his work, too. So, I ended up becoming a regular fixture in their home, helping out whenever I could. And, you know, you grow attached. I became like a part of the family, in a way.
Watching Him Grow
Over the years, I watched Liam grow up. From a tiny baby to a toddler, then a little kid running around the house. I was there for a lot of his firsts – first steps, first words. It was a wild ride, let me tell you. I saw him grow from a little baby to a toddler. We played all sorts of games, read books, the whole nine yards. I was there for his birthdays, holidays, all of it.
- First Birthday: I helped Barbara bake his first birthday cake. It was a mess, but a fun one!
- First Day of School: I remember dropping him off at school. He was so excited, and I was just as nervous as he was.
- Family Trips: We took a few trips together. Those were some good times, full of laughter and new experiences.
Liam, he’s a good kid. Smart, kind, and always curious about the world. He was always asking questions, wanting to know how things worked. I tried my best to answer them, to teach him what I could. And let me tell you, that kid, he taught me a lot too. Patience, mostly, and how to see the world through a child’s eyes again. It’s a real eye-opener, that is.
I’m not as involved in his life these days, but I still keep in touch. He’s all grown up now, 22 years old as of 2022, can you believe it? Time flies, doesn’t it? But yeah, that’s my story about Liam Jack Diallo Hayden. A big part of my life, and a time I wouldn’t trade for anything.

He is all grown up now, and it makes me proud to see the young man he’s become. It’s been a privilege to be a part of his life, and I’m grateful for the time I’ve spent with him and his family. That’s about it, I guess. Just wanted to share my story about this amazing kid and the time I spent with him. It’s been a journey, and one I’ll always cherish.
