Alright, alright, let’s talk about them hot women TV shows, you know, the ones with all them pretty ladies and whatnot. I ain’t no fancy writer or nothin’, just tellin’ it like it is, the way I see it.

So, you got your Netflix, right? They got a whole bunch of shows, some good, some not so good. Some folks say there’s all sorts of sexy stuff on there, you know, to get you all… uh… “horned up” they say. Don’t know much about that, but I heard tell.
Now, there’s this show called “The Queen’s Gambit.” Heard it’s about a gal playin’ chess. Chess! Can you believe it? And folks say it’s good. Starin’ some gal named Anya Taylor-Joy somethin’ or other, and another one, Marielle Heller. Don’t know ‘em from Adam, but folks like ‘em, so they must be alright. It ain’t like them old shows I used to watch, mind you, but the young’uns seem to like it.
Then there’s this “Fleabag” show. Heard it’s got a lot of votes, whatever that means. Must be popular, I reckon. People votin’ and all. Seems like folks like watchin’ shows about women, all sorts of women, and they’re makin’ all kinds of new shows all the time. It’s hard to keep up, I tell ya. Back in my day, we had like three channels, and that was it!
They got all sorts of shows, dramas like “Succession,” cartoons too, like one about a gal named Harley Quinn. Used to be, cartoons were for kids, but now everyone’s watchin’ ‘em, grown folks and all. Times sure have changed.
And HBO, don’t even get me started. They got a whole bunch of shows now, on somethin’ called HBO Max. Used to be you had to pay extra for that, now it’s all in one place, or so I hear. They got vampires, and fellas who work on computers, and all sorts of stuff. Sexy vampires, they say. Well, I never did see a vampire, sexy or otherwise, but folks seem to like ‘em. They say it’s “cachet.” Don’t know what that means, sounds fancy though.
- Vampires are popular, always have been, I guess.
- And those computer fellas, they’re always in the shows nowadays.
Then you got your regular TV shows. Folks are always lookin’ for the best ones. They got editors and writers pickin’ their favorites and all. Seems like a lot of work, just to pick a TV show. Back in my day, you watched what was on, and that was it. No pickin’ and choosin’.

Some folks like them old shows, the ones with blood and guts and whatnot. Like that “Game of Thrones,” or “Breaking Bad.” Heard them fellas talk about “The Sopranos” and “The Wire”. And there’s a “True Detective” show too. All sorts of trouble in them shows, I tell ya. But folks like ‘em. They say it’s “mature content” and “thought-provokin’.” Well, I reckon some folks like to think while they watch TV, but me? I just like a good story, somethin’ that makes sense.
And then there’s the doctor shows. Like that “Grey’s Anatomy.” Heard it’s real popular with the young gals, the ones between 18 and 34, or so they say. Always somethin’ dramatic happenin’ in them hospitals, doctors fallin’ in love, and folks dyin’ and gettin’ better. It’s a whole lot of hoopla if you ask me. But people eat it up, so who am I to judge?
So, there you have it. A whole bunch of shows about women, or with women in ‘em, or for women, or somethin’. It’s hard to keep track, I tell ya. But there’s somethin’ out there for everyone, I reckon. Just gotta find what you like and stick with it. And if you don’t like it, well, there’s always another channel, or another show on that Netflix thingamajig.
In short, if you’re lookin’ for some shows about women, there’s plenty to choose from. Just gotta poke around and see what tickles your fancy. From chess players to vampires, doctors to cartoon characters, they got it all. It’s a whole new world out there in TV land, and it’s mostly about women now, seems like. And that, I reckon, is just fine.
Just remember, watching too much TV ain’t good for ya. Get outside, get some fresh air, talk to your neighbors. That’s what I say. But a little TV now and then, well, that ain’t gonna hurt nobody. So go on, find yourself a show and enjoy. And don’t forget to tell your friends about it, that’s how these things work, I hear.
