Today, I messed around with something I’ve been meaning to get to for a while – digging into the whole deal with TV aliens and their supposed home planets. It’s wild, you know? There are so many shows and movies out there with aliens, but where do they really come from?

So, I started with the classics. You can’t talk about TV aliens without mentioning ALF. Remember that furry little dude who loved cats a bit too much? Apparently, there were some crossword puzzles about his home planet. That got me thinking, maybe I should check out those puzzles to see if they have any clues. No real answers there, just more questions.
Then I stumbled upon this thing called “Investigation Alien.” It’s not really a show, but more like a documentary thing from a journalist named George T. Knapp. He’s been researching aliens his whole life. I thought, “Maybe this guy knows something.” I skimmed through it, but it was mostly him talking about his research. Interesting, sure, but nothing solid on alien home planets.
- Read about ALF’s home planet in a crossword puzzle.
- Looked into “Investigation Alien” by George T. Knapp.
I even went back to Star Trek. There’s this place called Deep Space Nine, right next to a wormhole near a planet called Bajor. They’re always meeting aliens there. I figured maybe they’d mention where some of these aliens are from. Watched a few episodes, but still, nothing concrete. Lots of cool alien designs, but no addresses.
And of course, I had to revisit the Alien movies. In the first one, they go to this planet LV-426 and find that nasty xenomorph. Then, in that other one, Prometheus, they’re on LV-223, meeting the Engineers. Two different planets, but both connected to those scary aliens. It made me wonder, are these planets the real deal, or just made up for the movies?
While I was down that rabbit hole, I saw that there’s a new Alien series coming out. Apparently, they were filming in Thailand in early 2024, then they stopped because of some actor’s strike, and now they’re back at it. The guy who made Legion is behind it, and there are a bunch of actors I’ve never heard of. Maybe this series will finally give us some answers about where these aliens come from. Or maybe it’ll just be another cool story with no real answers.
- Watched some Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episodes.
- Revisited the Alien movies and thought about LV-426 and LV-223.
- Read about the new Alien series filming in Thailand.
Oh, and I found out about this planet called Atlas. They say it’s bigger than Earth. Could that be an alien home world? Who knows. I looked it up, but I found nothing but a planet bigger than Earth.

My Conclusion
Honestly, I didn’t find what I was looking for. It seems like the home planets of TV aliens are mostly just made up for the stories. Or maybe I just need to keep looking. Either way, it was a fun little adventure. I watched some cool shows, read some interesting stuff, and got lost in some wild theories. Maybe one day we’ll know the truth about where TV aliens really come from. Until then, I guess we’ll just have to keep watching and wondering.
