Alright, let’s yak about them movies, the ones like that “Despicable Me.” You know, the one with the funny little yellow guys and that grumpy fella who turns soft. If you like that kinda stuff, you might like some other ones too, I reckon.
First off, that “Toy Story.” It’s like one of the first movies made all on a computer, just like “Despicable Me.” You got your toys comin’ to life, talkin’ and havin’ adventures. It’s real sweet and funny, makes you think about your old toys and how much fun you had with ‘em. They got a bunch of “Toy Story” movies too, so you got plenty to watch if you get hooked. That Woody and Buzz Lightyear, they’re a hoot, just like them Minions, always gettin’ into somethin’.

Then there’s this “Angry Birds Movie.” Now, I ain’t played them games on the phone, my grandkids do, but the movie’s about these birds, all grumpy and mad, just like Gru in the beginning of “Despicable Me.” They gotta fight these green pigs who stole their eggs. It’s colorful and loud, kids love it. And it’s funny, you know, seeing them birds fly around and get all worked up. It ain’t got the same heart as “Despicable Me” maybe, but it’s good for a laugh, that’s for sure. Lots of silly stuff happening all the time.
Now, if you’re lookin’ for more of that “Despicable Me” stuff, they got a whole bunch of ‘em. They got “Despicable Me 2” and “Despicable Me 3” and even a “Despicable Me 4” that just came out. And don’t forget them Minion movies, “Minions” and “Minions: The Rise of Gru.” Them Minions, they’re so darn cute, even if they’re a bit mischievous. If you wanna watch everything in order, start with the “Minions” movies, then go to the “Despicable Me” ones. That way, you see how it all started, you know, how Gru became Gru.
And wouldn’t you know it, they’re even makin’ a “Despicable Me 5”! Can you believe it? And another Minions movie too, “Minions 3,” comin’ out in a few years. They just keep makin’ ‘em! Guess folks really like them yellow fellas and that Gru guy. I can see why, they’re funny and they make you feel good, and ain’t nothin’ wrong with that, I say.
The new “Despicable Me” movies got Gru and his wife Lucy and their girls, gettin’ into all sorts of trouble. And that new one, “Despicable Me 4,” it’s got Gru fightin’ some new bad guys, the Vicious 6. Sounds like a heap of trouble, but you know Gru, he always wins in the end. That’s what makes them movies so good, I reckon. You know good will win over evil, and you get a good laugh along the way. And you know, that’s somethin’ we all need a little more of these days. It’s a good, clean fun, somethin’ you can watch with the whole family, from the littlest ones to the old folks like me. No bad language or nothin’, just good laughs and happy endings. That’s the kind of movie I like, and I bet you do too.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to watch, give them movies a try. They’re on all them fancy new channels, like Netflix and Amazon and Disney Plus. And I hear you can even get ‘em on that iTunes thingy, whatever that is. Kids these days with their gadgets, I tell ya. But hey, if it gets ‘em watchin’ good movies, I ain’t complainin’.
