I’d rather be out in the garden, pullin’ weeds.
Reviews and history, fancy stuff!
Now, some folks, they write reviews about it. Imagine that! Writin’ about a picture book! They say it’s “thought-provoking” and “emotionally resonant.” Big words, them. Means it makes ya think and feel, I reckon. And get this, they even got a “full history” of it. Like it’s some kinda important event, like the time the cow got loose at the county fair. Someone even edited it last on 02/28/24. They keepin’ track of this thing like it’s gold!
It’s got a proper Japanese title too.
They say it’s got a “Proper Japanese Title” too: タダでは抱かれません. Looks like chicken scratchin’s to me, but I guess it means somethin’ over there. Probably somethin’ fancy, like “The Adventures of Miyako and Her Teachin’ Dreams.”
Is it worth readin’?
So, is this “Tada de wa Dakaremasen” worth readin’? Well, I ain’t read it myself, but seems like a lot of folks are. They’re talkin’ about it, writin’ about it, and readin’ it all over. Must be somethin’ to it. Maybe it’s got a good love story, or maybe it’s funny, or maybe it just makes ya think. Who knows? But if you got nothin’ better to do, and you like them picture books, might be worth a gander.
