Oh, honey, you wanna know about TV series like that “Star Crossed”? That one with the alien boy and the human girl, right? My old eyes ain’t what they used to be, but I sure do love a good TV show. Keeps me company when the chickens are all tucked in, you know? So you like that kinda show, huh? Well, there’s a bunch more, let me tell ya.
First one that comes to mind, there’s this one about a fella who jumps through time. The Time Traveler’s Wife, they call it. Now that’s a head-scratcher, I tell ya. One minute he’s here, next minute he’s gone! Poor wife, must be tough. But it’s kinda like that “Star Crossed”, with all that love and trouble. This one, Time Traveler, that’s the keyword, you know, helps those computer thingamajigs find it.
Then there’s them Star Trek shows. Lordy, there’s a whole bunch of them! Spaceships and aliens and all sorts of strange things happening. They go flyin’ around the stars, just like that boy in “Star Crossed.” If you like spaceships and such, you’ll probably like these. Star Trek, that’s what you type in to find them, easy peasy.
And, what’s that other one… Oh yeah! Stargate! That’s a good one. They got this big round thing, a gate, and they go steppin’ through it to other worlds. Just like that! Different planets, different folks, some friendly, some not so much. They got different series but I think the good one is called Stargate SG-1. There is always some adventure going on. Reminds me of them young’uns in “Star Crossed,” always gettin’ into somethin’. Stargate, that’s the word you need for this one, to find it on them computers.

Now, there’s another one, Stranger Things. It’s kinda spooky, I gotta warn ya. Got these kids and some monsters from another place. It ain’t exactly like “Star Crossed,” but it’s got that same kinda “different worlds” feel. And those kids, they stick together, just like that alien boy and his human girl. You want something a little scary, then Stranger Things is what you are looking for.
There is another one called Battlestar Galactica. This one is about some folks that have to run away from some bad robots. They have to find a new home. That is some tough time they are going through. They are always looking over their shoulders. This one is called Battlestar Galactica so that should be easy to find.
Let’s see, what else… Oh, The Expanse! That’s another one in space. Lots of folks livin’ out there, on different planets and spaceships and such. They got all sorts of problems, just like we do here on Earth. Politics and fightin’ and all that. If you like space and people problems that is the one, The Expanse.
There is also something called Love, Death + Robots. It is not just one story but many little stories. Some are good and some are so so. I don’t like all of them but some are good. It is like a box of chocolate, you don’t know what you are getting. You can look for Love, Death + Robots and see if you like it.
Oh, and there is one more I remember, called Doctor Who. Now this one is a little bit of everything. He is a doctor but not the kind that gives you a shot. He has a box that he can travel in time and space. He takes people with him sometimes and they have a lot of adventures. It is a little bit of this and a little bit of that. But that Doctor Who, he is always having a good time.
So there you have it, honey. A whole heap of shows kinda like “Star Crossed.” Lots of love, lots of adventure, lots of strange things happenin’. You just gotta pick one and give it a try. That Still Star-Crossed, you know, that’s based on a book. Maybe there is more tv series like Star Crossed in books. But I don’t know much about books. TV is more my thing.
There’s plenty more out there, I’m sure. These computer thingamajigs, they got everything on ’em these days. Just gotta know what to look for. Hope this helps you find somethin’ good to watch.
