Well, lemme tell ya, I was watchin’ this TV show called NCIS the other day. You know, that one with all them Navy folks who catch the bad guys. This one episode called “Trojan Horse” really caught my eye. It aired back in 2007, and it’s got a twist like no other! So, there’s this fella named Hamal Farhan, he’s from Yemen, and he’s dead before he even gets inside the NCIS building. Poor fella didn’t even have a chance to say his name proper. They found him in a cab, just sittin’ there, lifeless.

Now, this whole thing with the “Trojan Horse” virus, it made me think. Back in them olden days, the Greeks tricked the Trojans with a big ol’ wooden horse, filled with soldiers. Now, I ain’t no expert, but that sounds a whole lot like these computer viruses folks talk about today. See, these Trojan viruses work by sneakin’ in like a little innocent program, but when you ain’t lookin’, it opens the door for all sorts of trouble! Kinda like someone hidin’ in the back of your barn, just waitin’ for the right moment to strike!
So, what happened to poor Hamal? Well, turns out he was caught up in some big ol’ mess of lies and secrets. The NCIS folks, they don’t just sit back and let things slide. Tony and Gibbs, they’re on the case, tryin’ to figure out what happened to this man, and what kind of trouble he was in before his untimely death. But the whole thing gets twisted up, like a yarn ball. Just when you think you got it figured out, the story changes. Y’know, just like them old folks tell ya—never trust a good lookin’ package, ‘cause you don’t know what’s inside.
And let me tell ya, the way they work the case—it’s like peelin’ an onion. Every layer you take off, there’s somethin’ more underneath. So you got your regular murder investigation, but then you got this whole idea of a Trojan Horse, comin’ from the world of computers. It’s like the virus is trickin’ everybody. That’s the sneakiest thing about it, y’see? You can’t even tell it’s there until it’s too late. Folks nowadays are so busy, they don’t know what’s real and what ain’t. Some computer folks say you can get rid of these Trojans by just uninstallin’ the bad software. But, reckon that’s just the start. You gotta have yourself a good antivirus to clean up the mess.
Now, this ain’t just about a virus in a computer, oh no. It’s about trust and betrayal, too. Hamal, he was caught up in somethin’ much bigger than he ever knew. And in the end, it was too late for him. But the NCIS folks? They’re relentless, just like a dog with a bone. They ain’t gonna stop until they figure out what happened to him and put the bad guys behind bars.
So, what’s the ultimate point of all this? I reckon it’s a lesson in not trustin’ everything that looks good. Whether it’s a virus in your computer or a person who seems too nice, there’s always somethin’ hidden beneath the surface. You gotta keep your wits about ya, or you might just end up like Hamal—caught up in a game you don’t even know you’re playin’.
