Okay, so I’ve been feeling the winter vibes lately, right? The kind where you just want to curl up with a blanket and listen to something that matches the frosty air outside. So, I got this idea: what about making a playlist of songs specifically about cold weather? I figured it would be the perfect soundtrack for these chilly days.

Digging Through My Music
First, I opened up my Spotify. Gotta start somewhere, you know? I typed “cold weather” into the search bar, just to see what would pop up. To my surprise, there were tons of pre-made playlists, but most were a little…off. Not really what I was going for. So, I decided I’d have to do this myself.
Brainstorming Time!
I grabbed a notepad and pen – yeah, I’m old school sometimes. I started jotting down any song that even remotely mentioned winter, snow, ice, or just feeling cold in general.
I thought, what better way than making my own list? Some of what I thought of included:
- “A Hazy Shade of Winter” – Simon & Garfunkel, It’s classic, and the title says it all!
- “Wintertime Love” – The Doors.
- “Cold as Ice.” – Foreigner, Maybe a bit more metaphorical, but it still works!
- “Fifteen Feet of Pure White Snow” – Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
- “Song for a Winter’s Night” – Gordon Lightfoot.
The Final Playlist
After about an hour of searching and listening to snippets, I’d built up a pretty solid playlist. It’s got a good mix of genres and moods, from mellow acoustic tracks to some more upbeat stuff. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out! It’s the perfect background music for watching the snow fall, or just pretending it’s snowing when it’s really just gray and dreary outside, I’m feeling good about this, it is great!
