Oh, this movie, The Dark Knight! It’s that one with the man in the black cape. Real intense, let me tell you. Now, I don’t know much about these fancy directors, but I heard it was Christopher Nolan who made this one. He did a pretty good job, I reckon. That Batman fella, played by Christian Bale, he sure looked serious in all them stills. Got his black suit on, standing all tall and proud. The man means business, that’s for sure.

And then there’s this joker fella, played by Heath Ledger. Oh boy, he was somethin’ else. His face all painted up, and them stills show him lookin’ real crazy. That big ol’ smile he’s got, but it ain’t no happy smile. You look at them pictures, and you know right away he’s trouble. It’s like the whole movie, you’re just waiting for him to cause some kind of chaos. And sure enough, he does. Stills of him in that purple coat of his, walking around like he owns the place. I reckon that’s what made him so scary – he just didn’t care what anyone thought.
Now, I seen some of the stills where Batman’s working with that Jim Gordon fella, the police guy. Looks like they was trying to clean up the streets, but let me tell ya, it don’t seem easy with that joker fella causing all sorts of mess. Then there’s Harvey Dent too, played by Aaron Eckhart. He looked like a real stand-up fella at first in the stills, real clean-cut. But, well, you know how it goes – them stills later on show him lookin’ real different. His face got all burned up and he starts acting funny, like he’s another villain. It’s like they say in the movie, “You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”
They got them movie posters too, nice and dark like the movie. One of ’em shows Batman standing on a rooftop, lookin’ out over the city. Gotham, they call it. It’s always so gloomy in them stills, like it’s always raining or something. Guess that’s just how it is in that place. Even the posters make you feel like somethin’ bad’s gonna happen any minute.
Oh, and the stills from behind the scenes! Them are mighty interesting too. You can see the actors just sitting around, not looking so serious like in the movie. They was probably just taking a break, getting ready for the next scene. Ain’t it funny how they can go from looking all normal to being all serious and scary in the next minute?
I seen folks talking about how good the shots were too, something about the cinematographer, Wally Pfister. I don’t know much about them big fancy words, but I reckon them pictures look real good. The lighting, the way they make Gotham City look so big and dark, it just fits the whole story. Them stills really give you a feel of how gloomy and dangerous the city is.
Folks still talk about this movie like it’s one of the best, and I can see why. Just looking at the stills makes you feel like you’re right there in the middle of all that drama. Batman trying to keep the city safe, the joker causing chaos, and poor Harvey Dent caught in the middle of it all. Yep, them stills tell a real good story all on their own.
