Alright, let’s talk about this Tom Cruise fella and his teeth, you know, before he got all famous and whatnot. I ain’t no fancy dentist or nothin’, but I can see with my own two eyes that his teeth weren’t always so sparkly and straight.
Tom Cruise’s teeth back in the day, they were a mess, plain and simple. Like a cornfield after a hailstorm, all crooked and chipped. Some folks say he knocked ’em around playin’ hockey as a young’un. Makes sense, I guess. Kids do silly things, always runnin’ and jumpin’ and whatnot.
Now, I heard tell he fixed ’em up later on, when he was already a big shot movie star. Around 40 years old, they say. Imagine that, gettin’ braces when you’re practically an old man! But hey, better late than never, right? I seen pictures of him with them clear braces, like little glass slippers on his teeth. Fancy stuff, I tell ya.
- They say his teeth were crooked.
- Chipped too, like a chipped teacup.
- And somethin’ about a middle tooth bein’ off-center. Like a fence post leanin’ in the wind.
This “middle tooth” thing, it’s kinda strange. See, apparently, he was missin’ a tooth on one side, up top, and all the other teeth kinda shifted over to fill the gap. That’s why his smile ain’t quite straight, they say. The middle of his teeth don’t line up with the middle of his face. It’s like lookin’ at a crooked picture frame, you know? Somethin’ just ain’t right.
And them front teeth of his, they were long, real long. Like a horse’s teeth, almost. Not that there’s anything wrong with horses, mind you. I love horses. But you don’t want your teeth lookin’ like a horse’s teeth, do ya? So, I reckon he got those fixed too, maybe filed ’em down or somethin’. Who knows what them city folk doctors do.
People are always talkin’ about how he got veneers. Thin little covers, like paint on a wall, to make ’em look all pretty and white. I ain’t sure if it’s true or not, but his teeth sure do look different now. All straight and even, like a row of pearls. Good for him, I say. If you got the money, why not fix yourself up?

It’s funny how much folks care about teeth, though. Back in my day, you were lucky if you had any teeth left by the time you were 40! We ate what we could, didn’t worry too much about how it looked. But I guess things are different now, especially for them movie stars. They gotta look perfect all the time, or folks won’t watch their movies.
But before all that Hollywood fuss, Tom Cruise was just a regular fella with regular teeth, crooked and chipped and all. It just goes to show ya, even movie stars ain’t born perfect. They gotta work at it, just like the rest of us. And sometimes, they need a little help from a dentist, or a whole bunch of dentists, to get that million-dollar smile.
So, next time you see Tom Cruise grinnin’ on that big screen, remember what his teeth used to look like. It might make you feel a little better about your own crooked smile. After all, ain’t nothin’ wrong with bein’ a little bit imperfect. It’s what’s on the inside that counts, that’s what my mama always said. But a nice set of teeth don’t hurt none neither, I reckon.
And if you’re thinkin’ about fixin’ your own teeth, don’t let age hold you back. Tom Cruise did it when he was 40, so you can too. Just find yourself a good dentist, and don’t be afraid to spend a little money. After all, a good smile can take you a long way, even if you ain’t a movie star. It can make you feel good about yourself, and that’s worth more than all the gold in Fort Knox.
