Okay, so I was messing around with this idea the other day. I got this notion to find out how many songs have the word “song” right there in the title. Sounds a bit crazy, right? But I was bored and thought, why not? So, I fired up my computer and started digging.

First thing I did was hit up some search engines, just typing in stuff like “songs with the word song in the title.” I got a bunch of random stuff, like people’s playlists and some articles. I even stumbled upon a mention of the Song of Songs, which, I guess, is some biblical poem. Who knew?
I kept scrolling through all these search results, and man, there were a lot. Some sites were claiming there were, like, 170 or even 200 songs with “song” in the title. It was kind of overwhelming. I was not trying to look through all of that.
So I started making a list, just jotting down the ones I could find. I was thinking of doing something fancy, maybe organizing them by artist or something, but then I hit a wall when I was trying to figure out how many songs Elton John has with “song” in the title. That dude has so many songs, it’s insane! It was too much, so I just skipped that part.
I also tried to see if there were, like, any patterns or whatever. Like, maybe there were a lot of songs with “song” in the title from a certain time or something. But honestly, it was all over the place. No real rhyme or reason to it.
After a while, I realized I was getting a bit carried away. I mean, it was fun at first, but it was starting to feel like work. And not the good kind of work, you know? I did this just for kicks and giggles. So I decided to just chill out and stop counting. I didn’t really have a final number or anything, but I figured I had seen enough.
In the end, I didn’t come up with anything super useful. I don’t have some comprehensive list or some deep analysis or whatever. But you know what? It was kind of a cool way to kill some time. Plus, I found a couple of new tunes to add to my playlist. And I got a fun story to tell. So, that’s something, right?
