Okay, so today I decided to dive into a little musical exploration. I had this random idea: what songs have the word “jump” in their title? Sounds simple, right? Well, it turned into a bit of a rabbit hole, but a fun one!
Step 1: Brain Dump & Google Search
First, I grabbed a piece of paper and jotted down any songs I could think of off the top of my head. I only came up with a song. Clearly, my brain needed some help.
Next, I fired up Google. I typed in “songs with jump in the title” and… wow. Pages and pages of results. Mostly lists compiled by other people, which was exactly what I needed.
Step 2: The Spreadsheet
Now, I’m a bit of a list-maker, so I opened up a new spreadsheet. I started copying song titles from various websites into the sheet. I quickly realized there were a LOT of songs with “jump” in the title.
Step 3: Filtering the Results
I decided I needed to narrow things down. It became clear that is not a simple job. And I find something interesting.
Step 4: Build My Own Song List
I create a playlist and keep add songs to it, play songs and remove songs. I want this process last longer. and I enjoyed it.
This was a fun little project! It’s amazing how many songs use a simple word like “jump.” I discovered some new music and revisited some old favorites.
