Man, finding a new TV show to watch is always such a drag. I recently finished watching “Invasion” on Apple TV+, and now I’m left with this void, you know? I really dig those sci-fi shows with aliens and whatnot, so I figured, why not try to find something similar?
So, I started my quest. First thing I did was to browse through the usual streaming platforms. I spent hours scrolling through Netflix, then Amazon Prime Video, but nothing really grabbed my attention. It felt like I had seen it all before, you know? Nothing that really screamed, “Watch me! I’m like ‘Invasion’!”
Then, I thought, maybe I should check out some online forums. I mean, who better to ask than fellow TV show junkies, right? I jumped onto Reddit and started digging through some subreddits. There was this one, specifically for fans of a show called “Colony” – sounded promising. People there were discussing similar shows, and a few mentioned “Falling Skies.” I made a note of that.
Next, I visited some websites dedicated to TV show recommendations. I found a couple that let you search for shows similar to others. I typed in “Invasion,” and they spat out a bunch of suggestions. “The Walking Dead” was one of them, which I’ve already seen, but then there was this one called “Gomorrah.” The description mentioned it was dark and violent, which, honestly, is kind of my jam. Definitely adding that to my list.
Here’s what I’ve gathered so far:
- Falling Skies: Apparently, it’s got that alien invasion vibe, just like “Invasion,” so it’s worth checking out.
- Gomorrah: This one seems darker and grittier, but it might scratch that itch for a complex and intense show.
- Colony: Haven’t looked into this one yet, but since there’s a whole subreddit dedicated to it, it must be decent.
I also stumbled upon something called “Secret Invasion,” but it seems more like a Marvel superhero thing rather than a straight-up alien invasion story. Might still give it a shot, though. You never know.
Anyway, that’s where I’m at right now. It’s not easy finding the perfect show to fill the void left by “Invasion,” but I’m not giving up! My next step is to watch some trailers and read some more reviews. Hopefully, I’ll find my next binge-worthy show soon. It’s tough work, but somebody’s gotta do it, right?
