Alright, let’s talk about this Shangri-La Frontier thing, whatever it is. Sounds fancy, like some kinda foreign candy. But my grandkids, they’re all hyped up about it, so I figured I’d try and make sense of it for ya.

So, this “Shangri-La Frontier,” it’s like one of them moving picture shows, but they call it “anime.” Don’t ask me why. Anyways, they got these new shows comin’ out, and folks are all in a tizzy tryin’ to figure out when they can watch ‘em.
When’s this Shangri-La thing comin’ on? Well, from what I gathered, it’s gonna be on them Sundays. Yeah, every Sunday you can catch a new episode. They say it started on October 13th, which was a Sunday, see? So, they ain’t lyin’ about that.
- Every Sunday: That’s the main thing to remember. Like church, but with more… cartoons? I don’t rightly know.
- Started October 13th: That was the first one, so you missed a few already if you ain’t been watchin’.
- 2:30 a.m. PDT / 5:30 a.m. EDT: Now, this here is where it gets tricky. They got all these fancy times. PDT, EDT… sounds like a bunch of gibberish to me. But I reckon it means it’s early in the mornin’ for some folks. Too early for this old lady, that’s for sure.
They say there’s gonna be 25 of these episodes in this “Season 2.” Twenty-five! That’s a lot of Sundays. I remember when we only had one show a week, and we were happy with that. Now these kids, they want everything all at once.
They got a name for the first episode too, something about a “Half-Naked Birdman” and a “Golem Paradise.” Sounds scandalous, if you ask me. But I guess that’s what the young folks like these days.
Now, they also got these different places where you can watch it. One of ‘em is called “Crunchyroll.” Sounds like a breakfast cereal, doesn’t it? But apparently, it’s where you go to watch these animes. They got other places too, I reckon, but Crunchyroll is the one my grandkids keep yappin’ about.
This whole “Shangri-La Frontier” thing, it’s based on some kind of picture book, they call it “manga.” Made by some folks named Katarina and Ryosuke Fuji. I ain’t never heard of ‘em, but I guess they’re a big deal in the anime world.

And get this, they got different times for different places. Like, they got PDT, BST, and IST. Lands sakes, it’s enough to make your head spin. I guess it all depends on where you’re sittin’ when you’re watchin’. Me? I’m sittin’ on my porch, usually.
So, to make it simple for ya: New episodes every Sunday. Started October 13th. You can watch it on that Crunchyroll thing. And it’s a long one, 25 episodes. That’s all you really need to know, unless you’re one of them fancy time-zone folks.
I still don’t rightly understand what this whole “Shangri-La Frontier” is about, but if it makes my grandkids happy, then I guess it can’t be all bad. Just seems like a lot of fuss over some cartoons, if you ask me. But then again, what do I know? I’m just an old lady tryin’ to keep up with the times.
Anyways, that’s the gist of it. Sundays. October 13th. Crunchyroll. 25 episodes. Now go on and watch your show, and leave me to my knitting.
