Alright, let’s talk about them Killers, you know, the band with that fella who sings real loud. Folks say they like ’em, so I figured, let’s find some more bands like that, for them youngsters who like that kinda noise.

These Killers, they from Las Vegas, can you believe it? Playing all that fancy music, and they from the desert! They sing about all sorts, like shiny things and being sad and all. And that “Mr. Brightside” song, well, it’s real popular. Heard it on the radio a bunch, even when I’m bakin’ pies. They been around a good long while, since like, 2001 or somethin’. That’s a long time to be makin’ noise, I tell ya.
Bands That Sound Kinda Like Them Killers
So, if you like them Killers, you might like these other bands too. It’s like, if you like apples, you might like pears, you know?
- The Strokes: These fellas, they from New York City. They got that same kinda get-up-and-go music. Real jumpy, makes you wanna tap your feet, even if your knees hurt.
- Bleachers: Now, this one, they got that pop sound, but it ain’t all sugary sweet, you know? It’s got some oomph to it, like when you add a pinch of salt to your cookies.
- Saint Motel: Another one with that pop feel. Catchy tunes, makes you wanna sing along, even if you don’t know the words. Just hum along, nobody will notice.
- The Kooks: These boys, they got guitars and drums and all that. Good for dancin’, even if you just dancin’ around the kitchen while you’re makin’ supper.
- Run River North: I heard these fellas on the radio once. They got fiddles and all sorts of instruments. Real lively, like a barn dance, but, you know, fancier.
- Editors: Some folks say they sound like the Killers, especially that song “Munich.” I dunno, sounds like a bunch of noise to me, but the youngins seem to like it.
What Makes Them Killers Special?
Now, what makes these Killers so special? Well, they got them catchy songs, the ones you can’t get outta your head. And they use them fancy keyboard things, synthesizers they call ‘em. Makes it sound all futuristic, like somethin’ outta them space movies. And that fella who sings, he sings real loud, like he’s tryin’ to wake up the whole neighborhood. And seems like they like them British bands, you know, the ones with the fancy hair and the tight pants. Queen, David Bowie, them fellas. They even like that dancing music from the 80s, makes you wanna wiggle your shoulders.
Findin’ More Music Like That
If you want more bands like that, there’s places on that internet thingy, the one my grandson talks about all the time. “Chosic” and “Music-Map” he calls ‘em. Says they can find you all sorts of music, just type in the name of the band you like. Sounds like magic to me, but I guess that’s how things are these days. You can listen online, or on that phone thingy, they got apps for everything now.
That Killers Fella and His Church
And that singer fella, he’s a religious fella, goes to that Mormon church. Heard him talkin’ about it on the TV once. Said it’s important to him, and that’s alright. Everyone needs somethin’ to believe in, whether it’s God or good music.
