Yesterday, I was really in the mood to watch a sad film. I went online and searched for “sad films about cancer,” and let me tell you, there are tons of them! It was tough to choose, but I finally picked a few that sounded really touching.

I started with this one called “My Sister’s Keeper.” It wasn’t just about the girl with cancer, but also about her sister and how the whole family was dealing with it. The film showed all the struggles they went through over the years. It was a real tearjerker, man.
The Short but Sweet Ones
- “If Anything Happens I Love You” – This one is a short film, but it packed a punch. It’s animated and got an Oscar, so you know it’s good. I bawled my eyes out watching it. The story is simple but so powerful.
Other Films I Dabbled In
- “Titanic” – Okay, this one isn’t really just about cancer, but it’s super sad, and everyone says it’s a classic. I only watched parts of it, because it’s super long. James Cameron, the guy who made it, is apparently a genius.
I also started this other film, but the name escapes me now. It began with someone out for a run, and it seemed pretty dark from the get-go. I think it was a coming-of-age story, but I didn’t get too far into it. Maybe I’ll give it another shot later.
Anyway, if you’re looking for a good cry, these films will definitely do the trick. Just make sure you have a box of tissues nearby!
