Okay, so I wanted to make a list of songs with “three” in the title. Sounds simple, right? Well, it turned out to be a bit more of a rabbit hole than I expected!

First, I opened up my go-to music streaming app. I figured I’d just search for “three” and see what popped up. I typed it in the search bar, and… a bunch of stuff showed up, but most of it wasn’t what I was looking for. Lots of artists or albums with “three” in the name, but not actual song titles.
So, plan B. I headed over to Google. I typed in something like “songs with the word three in the title”. This was better! I got a few lists from various websites, some blog posts, and forum threads. Still a bit messy, though.
Digging Through the Results
I started clicking through the links and scanning the lists. I found some obvious ones pretty quickly, and I jotted those down in a notepad file on my computer. But then I noticed something. Some lists were including songs with “3” (the number) instead of “three” (the word). I had to decide: did I want to include those too?
I went back and forth on this for a bit. Finally, I figured, why not? It’s my list, I can make the rules! So I decided to include both “three” and “3”.
The next challenge was all the different versions of songs. I found like, five different recordings of “Three Little Birds,” for example. I decided to only include the original, most well-known version of each song, just to keep things manageable.
My Final-ish List
After spending a good chunk of time on this, here’s a peek at what I’ve got so far:

- “Three Little Birds”
- “Three Times a Lady”
- “Three Lions”
- “3 A.M.”
- “The Three Bells”
I know it’s not perfect or complete, and there are probably a ton more out there. But, I’ve created the list from my own journey!
This whole thing taught me that even simple-sounding tasks can be more complicated than you think. And sometimes, you just gotta dive in and figure things out as you go!
