Well, howdy there! You wanna know about movies like Monster Inc., huh? That there movie, it’s a real charmer, got them monsters and that little girl, Boo, bless her heart. Made me chuckle, it did. Now, finding movies like it, that’s a bit like huntin’ for the best tomatoes in the patch, gotta look around a bit.

First off, if you liked that Monster Inc., there’s a whole bunch of ’em out there. They say there’s like, eighty movies kinda similar. Eighty! That’s more chickens than I got in my coop, I tell ya. But let’s not get lost in the weeds.
Lots of folks say Toy Story is a good one to watch. You know, the toys that come alive? Yeah, that one. It’s got that same kinda feelin’, you know, things not bein’ what they seem. And then there’s Finding Nemo. That’s about a fish, a little clownfish, gettin’ lost. Lots of heart in that one, just like in Monster Inc. Made me cry a little, not gonna lie.
- Toy Story (1995) – Them toys, they got a life of their own, I swear!
- Finding Nemo (2003) – A little fishy gettin’ lost and found, heartwarming it is.
- Ratatouille (2007) – A rat that cooks? Don’t sound right, but it’s a good one.
- Wreck-It Ralph (2012) – This fella’s a bad guy in a game, but he’s got a good heart.
- Monsters University (2013) – That’s how them monsters met, in college they say.
Now, some folks, they like to get all fancy and type stuff into a computer to find movies. They say you just put in the name of the movie you like, and poof, it gives you a list. Sounds like witchcraft to me, but I guess it works. They used that magic to find movies like Monster University. That’s the one about them monsters when they were young’uns, in college learnin’ how to scare. Seems like if you liked one, you’d like the other, makes sense, right?
And there’s talk of other movies too, some with cartoons and fantasy, like that Ratatouille. A rat that cooks! Imagine that! I seen some strange things in my time, but a rat cheffin’ it up in a kitchen, that’s a new one. But it’s a good movie, they say, got that same kinda magic as Monster Inc.
They also mention somethin’ called Wreck-It Ralph. This fella’s a bad guy in a video game, but he don’t wanna be bad no more. Sounds like a good fella to me. Kinda reminds me of Sully, that big ol’ monster, scary lookin’ but a softie on the inside.
And if you’re into them games, they say there’s some games like Monster Inc. too. Something about Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Mario Galaxy. Don’t know nothin’ ’bout them games, myself. Too busy with the chickens and the garden, I am.

There was even talk of a sequel to Monster Inc., but seems like they didn’t make it. Something about the ending bein’ too sweet to mess with. Can’t say I blame ’em. Sometimes, it’s best to leave things be. But then again, with that fella, John Lasseter, leavin’ Pixar, maybe they’ll make another one someday. Who knows?
So, there ya have it. A whole mess of movies you might like if you liked Monster Inc. Just gotta pick one and see if it tickles your fancy. And if it don’t, well, there’s always more movies out there, just like there’s always more tomatoes to pick. Life’s like that, I reckon.
In short, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ like Monster Inc., stick with them cartoons and them stories with heart. You won’t go wrong, I tell ya.
