So, I got this idea to make a playlist, you know, all about songs that talk about change. It sounded pretty simple at first, but, man, it turned into a whole thing. I wanted to actually do something with it, not just think about it.
First, I brainstormed. Just sat down with a notebook and jotted down every song I could think of that had anything to do with change – growing up, moving on, big life shifts, all that stuff. My list got pretty long, pretty fast.
Then came the messy part. I dumped all those song titles into a new playlist. It was a total mixed bag – different genres, different vibes, all over the place.
- Some were obvious, like classics.
- Some were personal favorites, songs that maybe only I connected with change.
- And some were just… random. Songs I’d heard on the radio or in movies.
Next step was to do is trim it,sort and arrange them.
I started listening. And re-listening. And then listening again. I wanted the playlist to flow, you know? Not just be a random collection of songs. So I spent hours, I mean hours, moving songs around, deleting some, adding a few new ones I discovered along the way.
The Hard Part: Deciding What Stays
This was the toughest part, actually. It’s easy to throw a bunch of songs together, but it’s hard to make those tough choices, to cut songs you like because they just don’t fit. I had to be ruthless! There were some songs I loved, but they just didn’t feel right in the overall flow.

After all that, the play list about “songs about change” is finally done!
