Well, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout Nancy Dorff, a name some folks might remember. Now, Nancy, she was married to Steve Dorff, a fella who stuck by her side for 36 years, can you believe that? Long time, right? They had two young ones, a couple of kids who I reckon are growin’ up without their mama now.

But now, Nancy, she passed away not too long ago, back in February of last year. And it wasn’t no easy thing for Steve, not at all. She passed from somethin’ called brain cancer. You know, that thing where it gets into your head and makes you real sick, and there ain’t much that can be done. She was only 75 years old when she left this world, and it sure did break Steve’s heart. The papers said he was devastated, couldn’t hardly believe it. I can’t say I blame him, losing someone you been with for all them years. That’s a hurt that sticks with ya.
Now, Nancy’s full name, it was Nancy Lee Dorff. She was born on December 30th, 1948, up in some place I reckon we don’t hear too much about, but that’s alright. She had a lot of folks who loved her, even if they didn’t always say it. But you know how it is, folks show love in their own way. And then, she passed on February 19th, 2023. That’s when the world lost her, and Steve had to face life without his partner by his side. Ain’t no easy thing to get through.
Nancy and Steve had a life together, that’s for sure. If you look at all them tattoos Steve got, well, some folks say they got meaning, things that remind him of times with her. Like the number 73. Don’t know if it’s ‘bout a special day or somethin’, but you know how folks get. Tattoos, they got all sorts of reasons behind ‘em, and they stick around long after the person’s gone.
Now, I reckon you might wonder what kind of person Nancy was. Was she quiet, or was she loud, always laughin’ or keepin’ to herself? Well, I can’t rightly tell ya much about that, but I reckon she was a good woman, if she was with Steve all them years. It takes a strong woman to make it through life with a fella for that long, especially in this world where everything’s always changin’ and movin’ fast. But Nancy, she seemed like one who could hold things together, even when life threw them hard times her way.
Steve, well, he’s still goin’, still out there, doin’ what he does best. He’s one of them actors, you know? And folks still talk ‘bout him, even if they don’t say much ‘bout Nancy no more. But I reckon Nancy, she made her mark in her own way, and though she ain’t around no more, people still remember her.
It’s a sad thing when someone you love passes on, but life, well, life just keeps goin’. People keep movin’, and you gotta keep goin’ too, even if your heart’s broke. That’s how it is. You can’t stop time, no matter how hard ya try. Steve, he’ll always have them memories, and them kids, they’ll remember their mama. And that’s somethin’ nobody can take away.

So, while Nancy might not be here no more, she won’t be forgotten. Not by Steve, not by her kids, and not by anyone who knew her. That’s for sure. She had a life, and it was one full of love, even if it didn’t last forever. But then again, nothin’ lasts forever, does it? All you can do is make the most of what you got, and Nancy sure did that. Rest in peace, Nancy Dorff.
