Hey everyone, so I’ve been digging into horror movies lately, specifically from 2016. You wouldn’t believe the rabbit hole I went down! I started out just wanting to find a couple of good scares, but it turned into a whole project.
First, I made a list of all the 2016 horror films I could find. I mean, every single one. I scoured the internet, checked out some film sites, and even dug through old blog posts. It was a mess, to be honest.
- Started with the big names, you know, the ones everyone talks about.
- Then I moved on to the lesser-known ones, the indie flicks and the foreign films.
- I even included those weird experimental ones that barely qualify as horror.
Once I had my mega list, I started watching. Oh boy, did I watch. Some were awesome, some were… well, let’s just say they weren’t for me. I’m not a big fan of those super gory ones, to be honest. But hey, I powered through.
I jotted down some notes for each film, just a few sentences about what I liked or didn’t like. Like, I remember seeing “Train to Busan” and being totally blown away. That one was definitely a highlight. Zombie movies aren’t always my thing, but this one was intense!

After all that watching, I narrowed it down to my favorites. It wasn’t easy, let me tell you. There were some tough choices to make. But in the end, I came up with a solid list of the 2016 horror films that really stood out to me. These are the ones I’d recommend to anyone looking for a good scare.
