Okay, so yesterday I got this idea stuck in my head. I wanted to make a playlist, but not just any playlist. I wanted to make one where every song has a number in the title. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, let me tell you, it turned into a whole thing.

Digging Through My Music Library
First, I opened up my music library and started scrolling. I figured I’d just skim through and pick out songs I knew had numbers. “One” by U2, easy. “Seven Nation Army” by The White Stripes, got it. But then I realized… this was going to be harder than I thought. My brain was drawing blanks. It was like, as soon as I needed to think of songs with numbers, they all vanished from my memory.
Trying to Remember My Favorite Songs
So, I switched tactics. Instead of just scrolling, I started trying to remember my favorite albums and artists. I thought, “Okay, what are some albums that I always go back to?” I listed them out on a piece of paper, scribbling down names like a madman. Then I went through each one, album by album, track by track. It was a slow process, and honestly, a bit frustrating. I kept thinking I had more songs with numbers, but my mind just wasn’t cooperating.
Asking Friends for Help
After a while, I decided to reach out to my friends. I texted a few group chats, basically begging for help. “Hey, send me songs with numbers in the title!” I wrote. And you know what? They actually came through. My phone started blowing up with suggestions. Some were obvious, like “505” by Arctic Monkeys, but others were songs I’d completely forgotten about or never even heard of. It was a real mixed bag, but hey, it was something.
Discovering New Music
This is where it got interesting. As I was adding my friends’ suggestions to the playlist, I started actually listening to some of these songs. And man, I discovered some great stuff! There were songs I hadn’t heard in years, songs that brought back all sorts of memories. And then there were songs that were totally new to me, songs I probably wouldn’t have found otherwise. For example, one of my friends suggested “1000 Nights” by Ed Sheeran, which I didn’t pay attention to at the time.
The Final Playlist
- “One” – U2
- “Seven Nation Army” – The White Stripes
- “505” – Arctic Monkeys
- “1000 Nights” – Ed Sheeran
- …and a bunch more!
In the end, I ended up with a pretty solid playlist. It’s got a bit of everything – old favorites, new discoveries, and everything in between. It’s not perfect, and I’m sure I’m missing a ton of great songs. But you know what? It was a fun little project, and it reminded me how much I love music. It also reminded me that sometimes, the best things come from the most unexpected places, like a random idea for a playlist with numbers in the title. So, yeah, that’s my story. A simple idea turned into a whole journey through my music library and beyond. And I’m kind of glad it happened. The playlist is fire, by the way.
