So, I just re-watched “Juno” the other day, and it got me thinking about other similar movies. “Juno,” if you haven’t seen it, is this quirky coming-of-age movie from 2007, directed by Jason Reitman. It’s got humor, heart, and a whole lot of wit. It made me realize how much I love movies with strong-willed, independent-minded women. I thought I just made a list of the similar ones and share it with you guys!
I started digging around, and you won’t believe the gems I found. I kicked things off by browsing through some movie forums and stumbled upon a list on Letterboxd. It had 27 films that supposedly shared vibes with “Juno.”

I started by listing down some titles that popped up frequently:
- Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) – This one is a classic in the quirky, indie film world. I added it to my list.
- Submarine (2010) – Another great suggestion I saw, and it seemed right up my alley.
- The Pursuit of Happyness (2006) – I am not pretty sure about this one but I’ve heard about this one being mentioned, so I put it on the list. I’ll check it out later.
Then I spent hours just surfing through different movie sites, reading reviews, and watching trailers. I was looking for that perfect blend of humor and emotion, just like “Juno.”
After all that, I finally settled on a handful of movies that I think really capture that “Juno” spirit. Each of these has its own unique charm, but they all share that special something that made “Juno” so memorable. They all feature strong-minded characters, and the stories are all pretty unique.
Anyway, I ended up watching a couple of the movies from my list last weekend. It was a blast! So, if you’re a “Juno” fan like me and looking for something in that same ballpark, you should check these out. You won’t be disappointed!
