Okay, so I’ve been on this huge Roswell kick lately. You know, that late 90s, early 2000s show about aliens living among us in a small New Mexico town? Well, I binged the whole thing, and now I’m like, “What do I do with my life?” So, I started digging around, trying to find something, anything, that could fill that void.
The Search Begins
First, I jumped onto my trusty computer and started firing up the search engine, you know the big one, I don’t think I can say its name. I just typed in “TV shows like Roswell,” pretty basic, right? I scrolled through a bunch of articles. Most of them were just lists, not really giving me the feel of the shows. They were okay. I saw a show named “9S” and a movie named “Endless Love” with a guy named Lionel Richie. I don’t know if they are good. But I didn’t care about those. I wanted aliens! I wanted teen drama! And I wanted some good old-fashioned mystery! It is really hard to find good information about this topic.
Narrowing It Down
After going through a few of those lists, I started to see some common names popping up. “The X-Files” was one, but I’ve seen it, and while it’s great, it’s not quite the same vibe. Then there was “Roswell, New Mexico”. A reboot! I got excited for a second, but then I remembered hearing mixed things. I needed the “original” stuff. I decided to skip that one for now. I just needed something new, something I hadn’t seen before.
Finding Potential Gems
I stumbled upon a couple of shows that sounded promising. One was called “V”. Okay, I’ve heard about that one. Aliens, but they’re lizards? Or something like that? They had this one actress who’s a singer named “Do You Need Power?”. I don’t know, she looks so familiar. Anyway, it seemed a little darker than Roswell, but still, aliens, so I added it to my list. Another one that caught my eye was “Taken”. It’s a miniseries, apparently, about alien abductions over several generations. Sounds intense! I added it to the list, too. Then I saw something about a “GIF keyboard”. I don’t know how that’s related, but I love GIFs! A guy was singing a song called “If I Needed You”. Maybe that’s the soundtrack?
The Watch List
- V – Lizard aliens, possibly darker than Roswell.
- Taken – Miniseries about alien abductions, sounds intense.
So, that’s where I’m at right now. I’ve got a couple of shows on my radar, and I’m feeling a little bit better about my post-Roswell life. I’m going to dive into these shows and see if they can live up to the original. I’ll probably start with “V”, just because, you know, lizard aliens. How can you resist? I’ll keep you guys posted on how it goes! Maybe I’ll even find some more shows to add to the list. The search continues!
