Well, howdy there! You wanna know about movies like that Enchanted one, huh? Alright, listen up, I’ll tell ya what I know. Movies kinda like Enchanted, you say? Let’s see… There’s a whole bunch of ’em, I reckon.
You know, that Enchanted movie, it’s all about that princess girl, Giselle, comin’ to the real world from a cartoon. So, if you like that kinda thing, where things ain’t what they seem, you might like somethin’ else, too.
- Magical stuff, you like? Lots of movies got fairies and spells and such. Like, there’s this movie, I think it’s called Ella Enchanted. Same kinda thing, girl gets cursed, gotta figure things out.
- And those singin’ movies? Yeah, Enchanted’s got lots of singin’. There’s others, too. Like, that Sound of Music, that’s an old one, but it’s got singin’ all the way through. And those Disney princess movies, they sing a lot, too. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, all them.
Now, some folks like movies where things get mixed up. You know, like a fish outta water, like that Giselle in Enchanted. She didn’t know nothin’ about the real world, bless her heart. So, if you like that kinda story, there’s more where that came from, I tell ya.
There are movies where city folks go to the country and act all silly, and country folks goin’ to the city and gettin’ all confused. It’s funny, really. Like that movie, Splash? The mermaid in New York City? Kinda like that, but not exactly.
Or maybe you like the whole fairytale thing? You know, princes and princesses, happily ever after and all that? Well, they make a whole lotta movies about that. Some new, some old. There’s that movie Stardust, with a fallen star turnin’ into a girl. And that one, Mirror Mirror? They retell Snow White, but it ain’t just for kids, mind you. They got some smart talk in ’em, too.
And don’t forget those movies with friendly animals and stuff. Like in Enchanted, she talks to all them critters, right? There’s this movie Paddington. He a bear, talkin’ and gettin’ into all sorts of scrapes.
If you liked the part where Giselle is all happy and optimistic even when things get tough, well, there’s movies about that, too. People bein’ brave and kind, even when the world ain’t. Like that movie, um… Julie & Julia, about this woman who cooks all the recipes in a cookbook. She gets happy and has a can-do attitude, just like Giselle when she made her dress with the curtains.
Finding movies like Enchanted ain’t so hard, you see. You just gotta think about what you liked about it. Was it the magic? Was it the songs? Was it the fish-out-of-water story? Once you figure that out, you can find a whole bunch of movies just like it, or kinda like it, anyway.
Now, I ain’t seen all these movies myself, mind you. I just hear things. People talkin’ at the store, the grandkids blabberin’ on. But I reckon they know what they’re talkin’ about, mostly. And the TV, it tells you about new movies all the time. So keep an eye out.
