Okay, so I wanted to make a list of bands that came from Huntington Beach, California. It’s my hometown, and I’m always curious about the music scene here.
First, I opened up my web browser. You know, the usual starting point for any kind of research these days. I typed in something like “bands from Huntington Beach” into the search bar.
I scrolled through a bunch of search results. Some were helpful, some were, well, not so much. I clicked on a few different websites, mostly music blogs and local news sites, I don’t really remember now,I look around.
I started jotting down band names in my notebook,I like write something down,so I grabbed a notebook at hand. As I found them, I tried to verify they were actually from HB. Sometimes it was easy, other times I had to dig a little deeper.
Because I want to check in whether they actually from HB.
- I would check their “about” sections on their websites, if they had one.
- I’d look at their social media profiles, scanning for mentions of Huntington Beach.
- I’d even try searching for interviews or articles where they talked about their origins.
It was kind of like detective work, piecing together clues. Some bands were obvious, like they had “HB” in their name or something. Others were trickier. But I persisted,I keep searching!
I spent a good couple of hours on this, honestly. It became a bit of a rabbit hole, discovering all these bands I’d never heard of before. It was cool to see the variety of genres too, from punk rock to reggae to whatever.

After gathering all the information, I organized it into that note in my notebook.I reviewed all my notes and the list in my notebook looks pretty solid.
