Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Leviathan manga, you know, the one them youngsters are always yappin’ about. I ain’t no fancy book reader, mind you, but I heard enough chatter to piece it together.

This Leviathan thing, it ain’t no fishin’ story, that’s for sure. It’s about big ol’ sea monsters, them leviathans, and folks tryin’ to survive after somethin’ bad happened, a comet or somethin’, flooded the whole dang world. Can you believe that? Water everywhere! Reminds me of that time the creek overflowed, but way, way worse.
So, there’s this family, see? Just regular folks, I reckon, tryin’ to make their way in this messed-up world. They ain’t got no fancy powers or nothin’, just gotta be tough and smart. That’s how it is, ain’t it? You gotta be tough to survive.
- Big monsters tryin’ to eat ya? Gotta be tougher.
- Bad people tryin’ to take what’s yours? Gotta be smarter.
And that’s what this Leviathan manga is all about, from what I gather. It’s got fights, plenty of ‘em, and they ain’t no gentle slaps. They’re beatin’ and bitin’, folks and monsters goin’ at it hammer and tongs. Them pictures, they’re pretty good too, even an old lady like me can see that. They draw them monsters all scary and the people all determined-like.
Now, I heard some folks say it’s like that “Solo Leveling” thing, but I ain’t read that neither. But if it’s anything like this Leviathan, it must be pretty darn excitin’. I like a good story where folks stand up for themselves, you know? Don’t take no guff from nobody, not even a giant sea monster.
There’s some other stuff too, not just fightin’. Seems like there’s some bad people in this world, always tryin’ to take advantage of them weaker folks. That ain’t right, it ain’t. But that’s how it always is, ain’t it? Some folks greedy, some folks kind. The story shows how folks gotta stick together to make things better, build a community and all that. Just like us here, gotta help each other out.
Someone told me the artist who drew it, this Lee Gyuntak fella, he up and left. Can you imagine? Just leavin’ a story half-done! But I guess they finished it up with a web novel, that’s like an online book, they say. And they got some other artists to draw pictures for it. So, at least folks got to see how it all ends.

What I like about it, even though I ain’t read it myself, mind you, is that it sounds like a story about regular folks. Not these superheroes or magic-wielders, just regular people trying to get by. And that’s somethin’ I can understand. Life ain’t easy, it never is. It’s a struggle, every day of the year. And you just have to keep on struggling.
So, if you like them monster stories, and stories about folks fightin’ back and stickin’ together, then this Leviathan manga might be right up your alley. It ain’t no sunshine and roses story, that’s for sure, but it sounds like it’s got heart. And that’s what matters, ain’t it? A story with heart.
I hear there’s some romance too, but it ain’t the main point. It’s more about adventurin’ and survival. Kinda like life, really. Gotta keep movin’, gotta keep fightin’, gotta keep findin’ somethin’ to hold onto.
And this “MyAnimeList” place, they got reviews and such. Folks talkin’ about the story, and the characters, and how it ended. So, if you want to know more, you can go there and see what other folks are sayin’. I hear it’s a big place with lots of information, but these internet things are too fancy for me.
But from what this old woman has heard, this Leviathan manga is worth checkin’ out. It’s got action, it’s got heart, and it’s got folks fightin’ for what’s right. And that’s somethin’ we can all appreciate, no matter how old or young you are.
So yeah, Leviathan. Big monsters, tough folks, and a whole lotta water. Sounds like a wild ride. And remember to be kind, be tough and help out your neighbours. Now go on, git, and let me get back to my business.
