Oh my, it’s already been 10 years since that Kill la Kill came out, huh? Time sure flies! I remember back then, folks were talking about it like it was the biggest thing. Now, here we are, a decade later, and people are still buzzing about it. They say it’s a special kind of show, something you don’t forget easy. Ryuko, Mako, Satsuki, Nonon, all them characters, folks seem to love ’em just as much as the first time. And now with the 10th anniversary coming up, it looks like people are real excited again.

You see, back when Studio Trigger first made Kill la Kill, I reckon they didn’t know how big it’d get. But here we are, still talking about it like it was just yesterday. Now, folks sayin’ they hope they do something special for this anniversary. They want new art, new events, somethin’ to remind everyone why Kill la Kill was so darn popular in the first place. Some even say they want a new season, but, well, that might be wishful thinkin’. They wrapped that story up pretty good, so it’s not like there’s much left to tell. But hey, who knows? These studios sometimes surprise ya.
Now, October 5, 2021, that was a big day for fans too. That was the 8th anniversary of Kill la Kill. Studio Trigger, they gave everyone a new key visual for the celebration. Now, that might not seem like much to some, but let me tell you, people were mighty happy just to get somethin’ new to look at. You see, these things mean a lot to folks who’ve been followin’ the show since day one. It’s like a little gift, a reminder of what made them fall in love with Kill la Kill in the first place.
But you know, times change. That show, well, some say it couldn’t be made today. The director, Hiroyuki Imaishi, he even said somethin’ like that in an interview not too long ago. He reckons shows like Kill la Kill are too bold for today’s standards. Maybe he’s right, maybe he’s wrong, I dunno. What I do know is that show sure left an impression. But it ain’t exactly a show for everyone, mind you. Some parts were a bit, well, let’s just say a bit much. Parents might not want their younger ones watchin’ it, that’s for sure.
Now, with the 10th anniversary comin’ up, folks are wonderin’ if Studio Trigger will do somethin’ special. I tell ya, people are crossin’ their fingers, hopin’ for new merch or a special event. Maybe even a Ryuko x Mako or Satsuki x Nonon focus, since them pairings always get folks talkin’. But, you know, even if they don’t give us anythin’ new, the fans ain’t goin’ nowhere. This show is a classic, plain and simple. Even if it don’t get any more episodes or fancy new things, people will be talkin’ about Kill la Kill for years to come, no doubt about it.
So, here’s to Kill la Kill and all them folks who made it what it is. 10 years is no small feat, and I reckon it’s still got plenty of love from fans. Whether they give us a big ol’ celebration or just a little nod to the show, people will be happy just knowin’ that Kill la Kill is still alive in their hearts. Let’s see what this 10th anniversary brings, shall we?
