Okay, so I wanted to make a list of “good hunting movies”. I’ve been on a real kick lately, and I wanted to jot down some good ones and maybe find some new ones, too.
First, I just brainstormed. I literally just sat down with a piece of paper and started writing down any movie that came to mind that had anything to do with hunting. This got me a pretty decent starter list:
- The Deer Hunter
- Apocalypto
- The Edge
Digging Deeper
Then after making the list of movies I could think of I, opened up Google. I figured, why not see what the internet thinks? I just typed in “best hunting movies” and, boom, tons of lists popped up. Some were from fancy movie review sites, others were just random blog posts, but it gave me a bunch more to consider. I skimmed through a few of those articles, picking out any titles that sounded interesting or that I hadn’t heard of before.
From that search, I added a few more to my list:
- Predator
- The Revenant
- Deliverance
Refining the List
So, I try to use a notebook to record all the movies on my list. But my handwriting so bad, so I decided to use notion instead, the app is very simple to use, I just put the names of movies I found from the internet, and wrote a note for my further review.
That’s pretty much it! Just a simple process of thinking, searching, and jotting things down. Now I’ve got a solid list of movies that related to hunting to watch for my own.
