Japanese Shows, Them’s Good!
Now, I heard folks talkin’ ’bout these Japanese shows. They call ’em “J-dramas”. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But they’re just stories, like we used to tell ’round the fire. Lots of folks watchin’ these days. Good to watch, they are!

- Some make you laugh, some make you cry.
- Some got fightin’ and some got lovey-dovey stuff.
You got your Japanese dramas, them’s the serious ones. Then there’s the funny ones, the Japanese comedy dramas. They got all them Japanese folks runnin’ around, gettin’ into all sorts of trouble. I reckon there’s somethin’ for everyone in them Japanese shows. You can watch on the weekend, all day long!
Shows Startin’ with “J”
But you’re askin’ ’bout shows startin’ with “J”, right? Well, there’s that one with the fella runnin’ around, savin’ the world. What’s it called? Oh yeah, Jack Ryan. That’s a good one. Lots of boom-boom and runnin’ around.
And then there’s that cartoon one, with the flyin’ cars and the dog. The Jetsons! My grandkids used to watch that one all the time. Drove me up the wall, all that noise. But the young’uns loved it.
There is also a lady, she is strong. She is Jessica Jones. I saw a little bit of it. She’s got some problems, that one. But she is a fighter, she is. Strong lady, that Jessica.
Lots More “J” Shows, I Reckon
There’s probably a whole bunch more shows with “J” that I ain’t even heard of. There’s that big ol’ TV box, the one that shows you all them shows. What’s it called? Netflix, that’s it! They got all kinds of shows on there, more than you can watch in a lifetime.
- Jack Ryan, that’s a good one.
- The Jetsons, for the kids, I guess.
- Jessica Jones, she’s a tough cookie.
- Lots more on that Netflix thing.
You look ’em up on that internet thing. Just type in “TV shows with J” and you’ll find ’em. That internet’s got everything these days, I tell ya.
I like them Japanese dramas. Good to watch. Make you laugh, make you think. That Jack Ryan is a good one too. Very exciting. That Jessica Jones, she is a little too much sometimes, but that’s alright.
Findin’ Them “J” Shows
You just gotta know where to look. That Netflix thing, that’s a good place to start. They got all them Japanese TV shows on there, and probably lots of other ones startin’ with “J” too.
Just remember, there’s more to life than just watchin’ TV. But sometimes, it’s nice to just sit down and watch a good show, ain’t it? Especially them Japanese dramas. They got a way of tellin’ a story, them Japanese folks.
You young’uns with your fancy gadgets and your internets, you got it easy. Back in my day, we didn’t have all these choices. We had, like, three channels, and that was it! And we liked it!
But I gotta admit, it’s kinda nice havin’ all these shows to choose from. Even if I don’t understand half of ’em. These Japanese TV shows, they’re somethin’ else. And that Jack Ryan, he sure can run fast! And Jessica Jones. I like her. She is okay.
