Alright, alright, let’s talk about this fella, this Lil Wayne, and his best album. Folks keep jabberin’ on and on, so I figured I’d throw my two cents in. Now, I ain’t no fancy music critic or nothin’, just a regular person who likes what she likes.

This Tha Carter III, that’s the one everyone’s always yappin’ about. And I gotta say, they ain’t wrong. This here album, it’s got somethin’ special. They say it went triple platinum, whatever that means. Sounds fancy, like a whole lotta folks bought it. Won some kinda award too, a Grammy I think they called it. For best rap album, mind you.
Now, this album’s got this song, Lollipop. Catchy little tune, even this old lady can tap her foot to it. Apparently, it was a big hit, number one on some chart, the Billboard Hot 100 they call it. Even got that diamond thingy, same as that platinum thing, only more I guess. Then there’s A Milli. Now that’s a song that gets ya goin’! Real powerful, makes you wanna get up and do somethin’. Folks say it proved he could rap better than anyone. Don’t know ‘bout that, but it’s good, real good.
- Lollipop: Real catchy, makes you wanna dance, even if you got creaky old knees.
- A Milli: Now this one’s got some power to it. Makes you feel strong, like you can take on the world.
- Got Money: Well, who don’t like a song ‘bout gettin’ money? We all need a little extra cash, that’s for sure.
Folks say this Tha Carter III is the best if you just want a bunch of good songs all together in one place. And I reckon they’re right. It’s got somethin’ for everyone, you know? Some fast ones, some slow ones, some that make you think, and some that just make you wanna move.
Now, they say this fella, Lil Wayne, he put out a whole bunch of other albums too. Some folks liked ‘em, some folks didn’t. Critics, they call ‘emselves, they weren’t always too kind. But what do they know anyway? Always fussin’ and complainin’ ‘bout somethin’. This Tha Carter III, though, that’s the one that sticks with ya.
There’s this other album too, they call it Rebirth. Came out in 2010, they say. Don’t know much about it myself, but it’s out there. But for me, if you want the best, stick with Tha Carter III. It’s got the hits, it’s got the energy, and it’s just plain good.
Some folks like this album called I Am Not a Human Being and some others like Tha Carter IV and V , but for my money, Tha Carter III is where it’s at. It’s got that song Oh No, that’s real raw, real powerful. And those songs Shooter and Get Over, they got soul. Even the ones that everyone knows, they’re good. This is the one I’d tell my grandkids to listen to, if they ever listened to me, that is.

So, there you have it. Best Lil Wayne album? In this old lady’s opinion, it’s Tha Carter III, hands down. Don’t let those fancy folks tell you otherwise. They just like to complicate things. This one’s got the goods, plain and simple.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about music’s made me hungry. But you remember what I said, Tha Carter III. That’s the one you want. Trust me on this one.
