Hey there, youngsters! Today, I gonna tell you about them animal named bands. You know, like them music fellers what got animal names. It’s a hoot, I tell ya!
So, I heard these young’uns talking ‘bout music the other day, and they kept saying these funny names. Got me thinking about all them bands named after animals. There’s a whole bunch of ’em, more than you can shake a stick at!
First one that pops into my head is them Eagles. Big, strong birds, just like their music, I reckon. They sing them songs about hotels and California. Makes me wanna fly away sometimes, just like a bird.

Then there’s them Stray Cats. Now, I’ve seen a few stray cats in my day, skinny little things, always looking for a handout. These music fellers, they got that same kinda hungry sound, I guess. They sing about rockin’ and rollin, just like those cats prowlin’ around at night.

And what about them Counting Crows? Now, I ain’t never counted no crows myself, but I seen plenty of ’em. Black as night, always cawing about something. These music fellas, they got a sad sound sometimes, like a lonely crow on a fence post.

It’s funny, ain’t it? How these bands choose animal names. Makes you wonder what they’re thinkin’. Maybe they like animals, or maybe they just think the names sound cool. Who knows? It’s a mystery, just like why my rooster crows at the moon sometimes.
There is this band, and I think, they called Gorillaz. Now, I ain’t never seen a real gorilla, but I seen pictures. Big, hairy fellers, strong as an ox. I heard them song and I guess that’s why they got that name. Strong like a gorilla.

And there are these fellers, they call themself the Beatles. Now, I ain’t a fan of bugs, but these fellers, they sure made some catchy tunes. Everybody knows them Beatles, even old folks like me. It is funny that a little bug become so famous.

Oh, and I almost forgot about them Monkees! They was on the TV when I was younger. Always goofin’ around, just like a bunch of monkeys in a tree. Their music was fun, too. Made you wanna dance around like a monkey.

These animal named bands, they’re all different, but they all got one thing in common – they all picked an animal name. Maybe it is because those animal names are catchy or somethin’. Like that band called Scorpions, you don’t forget a name like that, do ya? Those little critters with the stingers, ooh, they give me the shivers!

It’s like they’re trying to be like them animals, in a way. Strong like a lion, or fast like a cheetah, or maybe even sneaky like a fox. I don’t know, I ain’t no music expert. But it sure is interesting to think about, ain’t it?
Then you got bands with names like Dinosaur Jr. Now, I ain’t never seen a dinosaur, and neither have you, ’cause they’re all gone. But that name, it makes you think of somethin’ big and old and powerful, don’t it?

And how about them Arctic Monkeys? Monkeys from the Arctic? Now, that’s a new one on me! I guess they must be some cold monkeys. I don’t know what to think about that one, really. But the name sticks in your head, don’t it?

So, there you have it. Just a few of them bands with animal names. There’s a whole lot more out there, I’m sure. Just goes to show, animals and music, they go together like peas and carrots, I reckon. It’s all part of that big, crazy world out there, ain’t it? Just makes an old lady like me shake her head and smile. Keep your ears open, young’uns, and you might just hear a whole zoo full of animal named bands!
