Alright, alright, lemme tell ya ’bout them shows, like that “Phineas and Ferb” one. You know, the one with them kids always buildin’ crazy stuff? Yeah, them. Kids these days, they got too much time on their hands, I tell ya. But them shows, they kinda fun, even for an old woman like me. So, if your young’uns are missin’ that “Phineas and Ferb” kinda thing, here’s some other stuff they might like.
First off, there’s this show, “Gravity Falls.” It’s about these twins, a boy and a girl, sent off to their Great Uncle Stan’s place for the summer. And let me tell ya, that place is weird. Full of strange creatures and mysteries. Reminds me of that time old man Johnson swore he saw a gremlin in his shed. Turned out to be a squirrel, but that’s another story. Anyways, “Gravity Falls” is kinda like “Phineas and Ferb” ’cause it’s got that same adventure spirit, you know? Kids runnin’ around, gettin’ into trouble, solvin’ mysteries. It’s got a bit more spooky stuff, though, so maybe not for the real little ones.
Then there’s “Milo Murphy’s Law.” Now, this one’s made by the same folks as “Phineas and Ferb,” so it’s got that same kinda humor. This Milo kid, he’s like the unluckiest person ever. Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong for him. But he’s always got a smile on his face, kinda like my grandson Billy, even when he tripped and fell face-first into that mud puddle. It’s got that same fast-paced, silly humor as “Phineas and Ferb,” with lots of crazy inventions and wacky situations. If you liked one, you’ll probably like the other, that’s what I say.
Another one, they call it “Amphibia.” This girl, she gets magically transported to a swamp world full of talkin’ frogs and giant bugs. Sounds crazy, right? Well, it is, but in a good way. It’s about friendship and figuring out where you belong. Kinda like when my Martha moved to the city and had to learn how to use them fancy subway things. “Amphibia” has got that adventure part down pat, just like them “Phineas and Ferb” kids. And it’s got a big heart, too. You’ll be rootin’ for that girl, I tell ya.
And don’t forget “The Owl House.” This one’s about a girl who finds a portal to another world, a magical world with witches and demons. Now, I ain’t never seen no demons, thank the Lord, but this show makes ’em kinda fun. It’s got magic, adventure, and a whole lotta quirky characters. Kinda reminds me of that old cuckoo clock my aunt used to have – always a little bit off, but in a charming way. Just like “Phineas and Ferb,” “The Owl House” is all about exploring new worlds and havin’ fun, even if things get a little bit weird.
- So, to recap, we got:
- Gravity Falls: Spooky mysteries and twin adventures.
- Milo Murphy’s Law: Laugh-out-loud bad luck and silly situations.
- Amphibia: Froggy friends and swampy escapades.
- The Owl House: Witches, demons, and magical mayhem.
There’s probably a whole bunch more out there, but these are the ones that stuck in my old brain. They all got that somethin’ special, that “Phineas and Ferb” spark, ya know? Kids buildin’ stuff, goin’ on adventures, havin’ fun. Makes you wish you were young again, almost. Almost. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make sure them chickens ain’t got into the garden again. Them critters are more trouble than a whole pack of “Phineas and Ferb” kids, I swear.

These shows all got somethin’ in common, that “Phineas and Ferb” magic, where kids are always busy buildin’ and doin’. They are always busy gettin’ into scrapes, but always manage to get out of trouble. Full of imagination and fun. Reminds me of when my kids were small. Always gettin’ into somethin’, keepin’ me on my toes. But those were the good old days.
One more thing. If you can’t find nothin’ on TV, there’s always them old “Lizzie McGuire” shows. That one’s not a cartoon, but it’s got that same kinda kid energy. A girl navigatin’ school, friends, and family. We all been there, right? It’s a bit different, but it’s got that heart, that somethin’ special. Just like them “Phineas and Ferb” shows, always teachin’ you somethin’, even if it’s just how to laugh at yourself every now and again. Good for the soul, I say.
