Alright, alright, let’s talk about them movies, the ones like that “John Tucker Must Die” thing. You know, the one where them girls get back at that cheatin’ fella. Yeah, that one.
So, you’re lookin’ for somethin’ similar, huh? Well, there’s a whole bunch of ’em out there, movies about gettin’ even, or about high school drama, or maybe just about young folks and their love troubles. It’s like, them movie makers, they like makin’ the same kinda stuff over and over, just with different faces and different names.
Lots of movies like that “John Tucker” one, they’re all about revenge. You know, somebody does somebody wrong, and then they gotta get paid back. Like in that movie, them girls, they team up and teach that John Tucker fella a lesson. Plenty of other movies do that too. Girl gets dumped, she gets mad, she gets even. Or maybe a fella gets cheated on, he gets mad, he gets even. It’s always the same story, just dressed up different.
Then you got them high school movies. You know, the ones with the popular kids and the not-so-popular kids, and all the dances and the proms and the whatnot. Them movies always got some kinda love triangle or some kinda fight over who’s the prettiest or the most popular. It’s like, high school ain’t nothin’ but drama, drama, drama, accordin’ to them movies. And “John Tucker,” well, it’s got a bit of that high school stuff in it too, what with the prom and all them cliques.
- Like, there’s this movie, can’t recall the name right now, somethin’ about a bunch of witches. Them girls, they get messed with by some fellas, so they use their witchy powers to get revenge. It ain’t exactly the same as “John Tucker,” but it’s got that same kinda feel, you know? Girls gettin’ back at the boys.
- And then there’s all them rom-coms, the romantic comedies. Them movies always got some kinda misunderstandin’ or some kinda fight, and then the boy and the girl gotta figure things out and get back together. Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it’s sad, but it’s always about love, one way or another. And sometimes, them rom-coms got a little bit of that revenge stuff in ’em too. Like, maybe the girl pretends to be someone else to get back at the boy, but then she ends up fallin’ for him for real. You know the type.
- Oh, and don’t forget them teen movies from the 80s and 90s! Them movies are full of high school drama and romance and all that stuff. They might not be exactly like “John Tucker,” but they got the same kinda spirit. You know, kids bein’ kids, fallin’ in love, breakin’ up, makin’ up. It’s all the same, no matter what year it is.
I tell ya, these moviemakers, they ain’t got many new ideas. They just keep rehashin’ the same old stories, time and time again. But I guess that’s alright. Sometimes, it’s fun to watch somethin’ familiar, somethin’ you can just turn your brain off and enjoy. You don’t gotta think too hard, you just sit back and let the story wash over ya.
So, if you liked that “John Tucker Must Die” movie, there’s plenty more where that came from. Just go lookin’ around, you’ll find somethin’. They got movies about revenge, movies about high school, movies about love, all kinds of stuff. And if you can’t find nothin’ new, well, just watch “John Tucker” again. It ain’t gonna hurt nobody.
And I heard they might even make another “John Tucker” movie, a sequel. Can you believe that? Them moviemakers, they just can’t let nothin’ go. But hey, if it’s good, it’s good. And if it ain’t, well, you can always just turn it off. That’s the beauty of it, ain’t it?
