Riddick’s not exactly fighting aliens in jungles, but he sure does face off with all kinds of hostile creatures and dangerous folks, all while just tryin’ to survive. The first one, “Pitch Black”, it’s real close to that survival vibe. Then you got “Chronicles of Riddick” and the later one, “Riddick”—plenty of action and alien creatures, just like “Predator”.
2. The Thing (1982)
Next up, “The Thing” from 1982. Now, this one’s a bit creepier, but I reckon it fits real good with “Predator”. You got a group of people stuck out in the middle of nowhere—this time, the frozen wilderness, not the jungle—and they start realizing one of ’em might not be human. That alien, it can shape-shift and imitate people, and that’s real dangerous. It’s tense, it’s scary, and the survival part is just like “Predator”. You never know who to trust, and the alien ain’t the only thing to be afraid of.
3. Aliens (1986)
Now, I can’t forget about “Aliens”. If you liked the fight between Arnold and the alien, then you’ll probably love Sigourney Weaver’s face-off with those Xenomorphs. “Aliens” is packed with action, just like “Predator”. Only difference is, the creatures in “Aliens” are much more deadly, and Sigourney’s character, Ripley, she’s a tough one. It’s all about the survival of the fittest, and if you can’t handle that, you’ll be in trouble! The jungle vibe ain’t there, but you get a lotta similar action—people fightin’ creatures that wanna kill ‘em.
4. The Expendables Series (2010, 2012, 2014)
If you’re into the action-packed, tough guy movies with lots of explosions and shootouts, you might wanna check out the “Expendables” series. This one’s a bit more modern, but it’s got that feel of a bunch of tough soldiers, just like in “Predator”. These movies are full of big names like Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, and Arnold himself. You got all the crazy stunts, big fights, and no-nonsense heroes. Not much of the jungle and alien thing, but lots of bullets flying and fists swinging. It’s a real good time if you just want pure action.
5. The Descent (2005)
Now, this one’s a little different. “The Descent” is a horror film, but it’s got that same trapped feeling, like when they’re stuck in the jungle in “Predator”. A group of women, they go spelunking in a cave, and what they find down there ain’t friendly at all. They’re trapped, and the creatures in the cave start picking ’em off one by one. It’s all about survival, and I’ll tell ya, it gets real intense. You won’t be disappointed if you liked that tense, “Predator”-style action.
6. Prey (2022)
And of course, we can’t forget about the recent “Prey” movie. Now, this one is a prequel to the original “Predator” and takes place in the wilderness with a Comanche girl fightin’ the alien. It’s got that same jungle feel, the same tense moments, and the alien’s back to do some hunting. If you loved the original “Predator”, you’ll be happy with this one. It’s got that familiar vibe but with a fresh twist.
