Okay, so I’ve been on this kick lately, trying to find movies that give me the same warm, fuzzy feeling as “Ever After.” You know, that Drew Barrymore Cinderella story? It’s just so good! So, I documented my little movie-hunting adventure.
The Quest Begins
First, I brainstormed. What is it about “Ever After” that I love so much? The romance, the historical setting, the strong female lead, the happy ending… I jotted all that down.
Then I hit up Google. My searches were pretty basic at first, stuff like “movies like Ever After” and “romantic historical movies.”I didn’t use any special tools and website.
Digging Deeper
The initial searches gave me some obvious choices, other Cinderella adaptations and some well-known period romances. But I wanted to go deeper. So I started looking at forums and movie discussion boards.
- I spent too much time on the movie forums.
- It was a time sink,but I had to do it.
I also started paying attention to the “If you like this, you’ll like that” *’s where the real fun started. I love using that feature!
The Results
I ended up with a pretty solid list! Some were movies I’d seen before but had forgotten about, and others were totally new to me. I made a watchlist and started working my way through * took a week to find those movies.
It’s been a fun little project, and I’ve definitely discovered some new * turns out I’m a sucker for a good historical romance!
