Alright, let’s jaw about them 80’s action TV shows, ya know, the ones we used to watch after a long day of work, when the kids were finally asleep. Back then, TV was somethin’ special. Not like today, with all them fancy gadgets.

The A-Team, oh them boys were somethin’ else! Always gettin’ into trouble, but always helpin’ folks out. They were like good ol’ boys, just tryin’ to do right, even if they had to bend the rules a bit. And that van, with the red stripe? Iconic, I tell ya, iconic! They always had a plan, even when it seemed like they were cornered. Blowin’ stuff up, shootin’ guns, it was a real hoot!
- Lots of action, that’s for sure.
- Those fellas were funny too, always crackin’ jokes.
- And the explosions! My goodness, they loved to blow things up.
Then there was Magnum, P.I., that fella with the mustache and the Ferrari. Always wearin’ them Hawaiian shirts. He lived in this fancy house in Hawaii, drivin’ around in that fancy car. Must have been nice! He was always solvin’ mysteries and catchin’ bad guys. And that Higgins fella, always bossin’ him around. They had a good thing goin’, them two.
MacGyver, now he was a smart one. He could make anything out of anything. A paperclip, a rubber band, some duct tape, he could build a bomb or fix a car. He never carried a gun, always usin’ his brain. That’s what I liked about him. He showed you don’t always need violence to solve your problems.
And let’s not forget Miami Vice! All them fancy clothes and fast cars. The music, oh the music, it just made you wanna dance. Those two detectives, always lookin’ cool, drivin’ around in their fancy cars, catchin’ drug dealers and such. It was a real stylish show, somethin’ we hadn’t seen before.
Strong textSpeaking of stylish, remember Knight Rider? A talkin’ car! Who woulda thought? That car, KITT, it was somethin’ else. Faster than anything, and it could talk! Michael Knight and KITT, they were a team. Fightin’ crime and helpin’ people. And that red light goin’ back and forth on the front, you knew somethin’ was about to happen when you saw that light.
These shows, they were different back then. They were about good guys fightin’ bad guys, about doin’ the right thing. They weren’t perfect, mind you, but they had heart. And that’s what mattered. They made you feel good, made you cheer, made you forget about your troubles for a little while.

I tell ya, they don’t make ’em like they used to. Nowadays, it’s all CGI and fancy effects. Back then, it was real, you know? The stunts, the explosions, it felt real. And the stories, they were simple but good. Good guys, bad guys, and a whole lotta action. That’s what made them 80’s action shows so special.
We’d gather ’round the TV, the whole family, and watch these shows together. It was a time when families did things together, you know? Now everyone’s got their own phones and tablets, always lookin’ down. It’s a shame, really. They’re missin’ out on the good stuff, the stuff that really matters.
So, if you ever get a chance, go back and watch some of them old 80’s action shows. You might be surprised at how much you like ’em. They’re a good reminder of a simpler time, a time when things weren’t so complicated. And who knows, you might even learn a thing or two. Like how to make a bomb out of a paperclip and some chewing gum, just kiddin’!
Anyway, that’s my two cents on them 80’s action shows. They were somethin’ special, and I’m glad I got to experience them. They don’t make ‘em like that anymore, that’s for sure.
