Says it’s the best way to talk to folks far away. Heck, I remember when you had to walk a mile just to use the neighbor’s phone! But I guess that’s how it is now, everthin’s gotta be fast, fast, fast. No waiting around like we used to.
Cartoons and Games, Big Business Nowadays
And then there’s them cartoons. My grandson, he watches this one cartoon, somethin’ about a hotel, but it’s got all sorts of strange critters in it. He says it’s real famous on the internet. “Hazbin Hotel,” that’s it! Never seen anythin’ like it. Back in my day, cartoons were simple, you know? Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, nice and wholesome. Now, they got all sorts of…well, never you mind. But the kids love it, so what can ya do? It’s all about bein’ famous, I reckon. Gettin’ everyone talkin’ about ya.
- Games are popular too: My nephew, he plays this game on the computer all day long. Something about a league, he yells a lot while he’s playing. Can’t understand a word of it, but he says it’s the best game ever made. Says it’s because it’s well-made, whatever that means. Seems like a lot of trouble to me, but hey, if it keeps him outta trouble, I ain’t complainin’. But that’s another one of them popular things, I tell ya.
- Social Media is something: They have all of those Toks and Faces and Instas. They are always looking at it. I do not understand it at all, but seems like everyone is using them.
So, What Makes Somethin’ Popular Anyway?
So, you see, this “bakanin” thing, it’s just like all them other popular things. It’s about gettin’ your name out there, makin’ people want what you got. Whether it’s cheap clothes, fast messages, crazy cartoons, or shouty computer games, it’s all the same. You gotta be the best or the cheapest or the loudest. Or maybe just plain different. That’s how I see it, anyway. Just gotta make a splash, get people talkin’. And once they start talkin’, well, then you’re golden. You’re bakanin, or whatever the kids are sayin’ these days.
Things Change, That’s for Sure
It’s a whole different world now, I tell ya. Back in my day, things were slower, simpler. But times change, and you gotta change with ‘em, I guess. Even if you don’t understand it all. Just like this “bakanin” thing. Don’t know what it means, but if it’s popular, it must be doin’ somethin’ right. Or maybe folks just like jumpin’ on the bandwagon, followin’ the crowd. Who knows? All I know is, it’s a crazy world out there, and it’s only gettin’ crazier. And things are getting famous faster than a chicken can run from a fox.
