Hey, ya know, I’ve been hearin’ a lot about this “8 deaths of Spider-Man” thing. Sounds like somethin’ big is goin’ on with ol’ Spidey. Seems like Marvel’s got a brand new story for him, and lemme tell ya, it don’t look too good for our web-slinger. They sayin’ he’s gonna die eight times! I don’t know much ‘bout that kinda stuff, but sure sounds like a rough deal for him.
This story’s startin’ up in November, and they even showed a trailer at some fancy New York Comic Con, which, if ya ask me, sounds like a big city event. In this new series, there’s this fella, Doctor Doom – ya probably heard of him. Well, now they’re sayin’ he’s the Sorcerer Supreme or somethin’ like that. What’s that mean? I got no clue, but it don’t sound like he’s plannin’ on bein’ a nice guy, that’s for sure.
Now, this ain’t the first time Spider-Man’s had a tough time. Oh no, he’s been through it, lemme tell ya. Lost his friends, got his life taken by Doctor Octopus once – yep, ol’ Doc Ock took over his body, and nobody even knew! Poor Spidey, he’s had to fight some real bad luck over the years. But this time, it sounds like things are even worse. They say this is some kinda “epic,” meanin’ it’s a real big deal, and it’s all about Spider-Man dyin’ over and over again.
Folks were mighty excited when they heard ‘bout it at that Comic Con, especially when they talked ‘bout Spider-Man and his “Venomous Friends” or somethin’. Don’t know too much ‘bout that, but sounds like Spider-Man’s got a whole bunch of folks around him this time. I reckon it’s gonna be one wild ride for ‘im.
So, this story’s called the “8 Deaths of Spider-Man,” and it’s comin’ in 10 parts, which I guess means it’s gonna take a while for the whole thing to unfold. Sounds like Spider-Man’s gonna be facin’ all kinds of dangers, probably from them villains he’s always fightin’ – Doc Ock, Green Goblin, maybe even that fella Venom. But the one they keep talkin’ about is Doctor Doom. Seems like he’s gonna be the one givin’ Spidey the most trouble this time around.
Now, I ain’t too familiar with all them fancy superhero stories, but if ya ask me, dyin’ eight times sounds like a lot for one person to handle, even for Spider-Man. The way folks are talkin’, it sounds like this is gonna be a real tough time for ol’ Peter Parker. That’s his real name, ya know. He’s just a regular fella under that mask, dealin’ with all kinds of troubles, but now it’s lookin’ like he’s got more than he can handle.
They’re sayin’ that the first issue comes out in November, so I reckon if yer a fan of Spider-Man, ya might wanna keep yer eyes peeled for it. Might be a real heartbreaker, seein’ Spider-Man go through all them deaths, but ya never know, maybe he’ll find a way out of it. He always seems to, somehow. I guess that’s why folks like him so much – he’s always gettin’ back up, no matter how many times he gets knocked down.
But eight times? Whew, that’s a lot, even for him.
Looks like Spider-Man’s in for the fight of his life, again.
