Hey everyone, today I decided to dive into the world of British singers who go by just one name. You know, like Adele, or Sting. I thought it’d be a fun little project to compile a list, and here’s how I went about it.

Started with Brainstorming
First, I just grabbed a pen and paper and started jotting down any names that popped into my head. This was pure memory recall. I got a few obvious ones down, which was a good start, feeling productive already!
Hit Up Google
Then, obviously, I turned to Google. I used some pretty straightforward search terms, like “british singers with one name”. This brought up a bunch of articles and lists. Nothing fancy, just good old-fashioned searching.
Sifting and Sorting
- Next, I opened up a bunch of these articles and started scanning through them. I wasn’t reading them word-for-word, just looking for names that fit the bill.
- I created a new document and started copying and pasting names into it. I figured I’d clean it up later. This part was a bit tedious, to be honest, but hey, gotta put in the work.
Cleaning Up the Mess
After I had a good-sized list, I went through and removed any duplicates. There were a surprising number of them! Also, some of the names were, questionable so I did some quick checks to make sure they were actually British and did primarily use a single stage name.
The Final Product
Finally, I had my cleaned-up list! It felt good to have it all organized. It’s not exactly groundbreaking research, but it was a fun way to spend an hour, and now I have a handy list of British one-named singers.
Maybe,I will look for more information about these singers next time.
