Okay, so I’ve been meaning to do this for a while, and today I finally sat down and created my own Taylor Swift song ranker. It’s something I’ve seen floating around, and I always thought it would be fun, but also, like, a HUGE undertaking. Because, let’s be real, ranking Taylor’s entire discography? That’s a commitment!
Getting Started
First, I had to choose the right tools. And I spend some time to find a suitable tools for my project. It was perfect. You literally just start with all of her albums, and it guides you through comparing songs, making you choose which one you prefer each time.
The Process
I started, obviously, with her debut album and worked my way through chronologically. The first few rounds were relatively easy, comparing, like, “Teardrops on My Guitar” to some of her later, more mature stuff. Easy peasy. But then… it got HARD.
Seriously, trying to compare songs from, say, Reputation to songs from Folklore? It’s like comparing apples and… well, something completely different from apples. Different vibes, different lyrical styles, different EVERYTHING.
- Some rounds took ages.
- I started making hard decision.
The Final Result
It took me a good couple of hours, lots of internal debate, and probably a few cups of coffee, but I finally finished! I ended up with a full, ranked list of all her * felt like a huge achievement, honestly. Now I have this definitive (well, definitive for me, at this moment in time) ranking of every Taylor Swift song.
I considered sharing the full list, but it’s ridiculously long, and also, my taste is probably super questionable to some Swifties out there. I’m happy that I did it, though!
