Okay, so, I wanted to find out what TV shows are good for dogs. You know, something to keep them entertained while I’m busy or out of the house. I figured there must be something out there, right?

First, I started looking around on the internet, just to see what other people were saying. I found some names, like this old show called “Lassie” which apparently a lot of people like. There was also something called “Dog Dynasty”, but that seemed to be more about the breeders than the actual dogs watching TV.
Then I discovered this thing called “DOGTV“. Apparently, it’s like the main channel for dogs! They’ve got stuff playing 24/7, just for dogs. That sounded pretty wild, but also exactly what I was looking for. I read somewhere that even action-packed stuff can be good for dogs, so it’s not just slow-moving nature scenes or whatever.
I also came across a show called “Canine Intervention.” It’s about this dog trainer in Oakland, Jas Leverette, who has a big-time training facility. It’s more about training dogs rather than shows dogs like, but it still felt related, you know?
So, I decided to try out DOGTV. I signed up for their service. And honestly? My dog seems to like it! I put it on when I have to run errands or when I’m working from home and need him to be occupied. He’ll sit there and watch the screen, sometimes he barks at it, sometimes he just chills. I guess it makes a difference to have something specifically made for them. They like seeing other dogs and animals on TV, there are shows like “America’s Top Dog” or “Hudson & Rex” that feature dogs a lot and might also be good options.

What I tried:
It seems like there are actually a lot of options for dog-friendly TV, but DOGTV is the only one I’ve tried so far. I’m happy with it, and my dog seems happy too, so I call it a win!
