Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to make this list of female singers who just go by one name. You know, like Adele or Cher. These ladies are powerful, and I just had to put them all together in one place. So I started jotting down names that popped into my head.
First, I opened up a new document on my laptop. It was a bit messy at the beginning, kind of like brainstorming. I wrote down every one-name female singer I could remember. Some were obvious, like Rihanna and Beyoncé, but then I had to dig a little deeper. I remembered some old-school legends like Madonna and Enya. It was cool to see how many I could come up with just off the top of my head.
Next, I wanted to see if there were any big names I was missing. So, I did a quick search online. Just a simple Google search for “one name female singers.” I found a few lists, and a couple of articles, and I was seeing what was going on with the music scene in 2024. There’s definitely a shift happening, and there are a bunch of new artists coming up. I’m not just talking about the big names anymore; these new girls are really starting to make waves.
I also checked out some articles that talked about what songs are going to be big this summer. It’s interesting to see who’s getting the most attention. Then I stumbled upon this one piece that was talking about artists to watch for in 2025. There are some really cool new voices out there, and I’m excited to see what they do next.
After browsing for a while, I found a few more names to add to my list. It was getting pretty long! I wanted to organize it somehow, so I thought, why not sort them by how popular they are right now? I checked each artist’s monthly listeners. It was a bit of a pain, but it helped me get a better sense of who’s really hot at the moment.
Finally, I had my list. It felt good to have it all down on paper. I might turn this into a blog post or something later. It’s just cool to see all these talented women in one place. A Little Update

It’s getting even bigger now, which is awesome. I also realized that just looking at monthly listeners isn’t the whole picture. Some of these artists might not be as popular right now, but they’ve had a huge impact on music overall.
So, I decided to add a little section at the end for some iconic female singers who might not have the biggest numbers currently but are still super important. These are the ladies who paved the way for everyone else. Legends, you know? I thought it was important to give them a shout-out, too. It’s all about respecting the history and seeing how music evolves over time.
