Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again, sharing another one of my little adventures. So, I’ve been getting into this whole trucker movie thing lately. Yeah, you heard that right. Movies about truckers. Sounds kinda niche, right? But trust me, it’s been a wild ride!

It all started when I was flipping through channels and landed on this old flick called “They Drive By Night”. I was like, “Why not?” and dove right in. That movie got me hooked! The grit, the drama, the life on the road – it was all so fascinating.
Next thing I knew, I was down the rabbit hole, hunting for more of these gems. I stumbled upon “High Ballin’” next. A 1978 classic directed by some guy named Peter Carter. It was a bit cheesy, but hey, it had trucks and action, so I was in.
Then I went on this binge, watching anything and everything related to truckers. I watched “Hijack”, which was alright. Then came “Breaker! Breaker!” with Chuck Norris. Yeah, you can imagine how that went.
- “Joy Ride” – This one was more of a thriller, less about the trucks, more about the crazy stuff that happens on the road. Pretty intense.
- “Big Trouble in Little China” – Okay, this one is a bit of a stretch, but the main guy is a trucker, and it’s a cult classic, so it counts!
- “Maximum Overdrive” – This one is just bonkers. Trucks come to life and start attacking people. Pure ’80s madness.
I even tried to get all fancy with it. I got myself a satellite dome for my TV. I figured, if I’m watching trucker movies, I might as well go all out. I hooked it up, turned on the receiver, and boom – live TV. It even had a DVR, so I could record stuff while, you know, pretending to be a trucker in my living room.
I also did some digging online, trying to find a list of all these movies. I found this website, “Truck Parking Club” or something, that had a list of “10 classic movies paying homage to the trucking industry”. That was a goldmine! They even mentioned “Smokey and the Bandit”, which is like, the godfather of trucker movies, right?
So yeah, that’s been my latest obsession. I watched a bunch of movies, learned a thing or two about satellite domes, and even found some cool online resources. It’s been a fun, kinda weird, but definitely interesting experience. Who knew there was a whole world of trucker movies out there? Now if you’ll excuse me, I hear there’s one called “Convoy” that I need to check out.

Stay tuned for more of my random adventures, folks. You never know what I’ll get into next!
