Okay, so I was messing around with my playlist today, right? And I got this idea to make a playlist with songs that all have the word “golden” in the title. I don’t know why, it just sounded cool at the time. I mean, “golden” always sounds positive, majestic, and valuable, doesn’t it?

So I started digging through my music library, trying to remember songs with “golden” in the title. The first one that popped into my head was “Sister Golden Hair” – a classic, you know? I quickly found it and added it to my list. I thought, “This is gonna be easy!”
- Sister Golden Hair
But then, I hit a wall. I was like, “Wait, what other songs have ‘golden’ in them?” My mind was completely blank. I started scrolling through all my songs, hoping to spot something, but nothing. It was frustrating.
Then I thought, “Why don’t I use the internet?” I mean, it has everything, right? So I started searching, and I found a bunch of lists of songs with “gold” in the title, which is close enough. There were some top 20 lists, some extended lists… it was a goldmine of, well, gold songs.
After spending like an hour going through these lists, I picked out a few more that I actually liked and that fit the “golden” vibe I was going for. Then I found out that The Beatles have, like, 20 number-one hits! I mean, I knew they were big, but that’s just crazy. And Coldplay? Those guys have released tons of albums. I didn’t know they have such a large volume of works.
Anyway, my playlist is still pretty short, but it’s got some good stuff on it. I also added these songs:
- Golden Slumbers
- Fields of Gold
- Heart of Gold
It’s a work in progress, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It’s funny how a simple idea can turn into a whole project. Now, whenever I hear the word “golden,” I’ll be reminded of all those songs and the time I spent searching for them.
