Well, howdy there! Let me tell ya, this whole “songs with angel in the title” thing got me thinkin’. You know, like them songs they play on the radio, the ones that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? Yeah, them ones. I ain’t no fancy music expert or nothin’, but I do know a thing or two about what sounds good, ya hear?

So, I went on and poked around a bit, and wouldn’t ya know it, there’s a whole heap of songs with “angel” right there in the name! Must be somethin’ special about that word, huh? Makes folks think of good things, I reckon. Like them heavenly creatures up there, watchin’ over us and all. Makes you feel all safe and sound, like a baby wrapped in a warm blanket.
Now, I ain’t gonna lie, I can’t remember all them song names. Too many for this old brain to hold on to. But I do remember a few that stuck with me. Like that one, “Angel” by…shoot, what was that fella’s name? Oh yeah, Shaggy! That’s it. That song’s got a real nice beat to it, makes ya wanna tap your feet and maybe even do a little jig, if your old bones allow it. And that Rayvon fella singin’ along too, real pretty voices they got.
- Then there’s another one, “How Do You Talk to an Angel”. Now, that’s a question, ain’t it? I mean, how do you talk to an angel? I ain’t never seen one myself, but if I did, I reckon I’d be too tongue-tied to say much. This Steve Tyrell and Barry Coffing fellas, they wrote that song. Smart fellas, they must be.
- And let’s not forget that “Angel” song by Massive Attack. Now, that one’s a bit different. It’s kinda…moody, you know? Makes you think about things, about life and all that. Not the kinda song you’d dance to, but it’s good for sittin’ on the porch swing and watchin’ the sunset. It’s the kind of song that makes you think about your loved ones up in heaven, especially the ones who left too soon.
You know, throughout all them years, folks been writin’ songs about angels. It ain’t nothin’ new. Seems like everybody’s got their own idea of what an angel is like. Some folks think they’re all sweet and gentle, while others think they’re powerful warriors fightin’ off the bad stuff. Me? I reckon they’re probably a bit of both. Just like us, I guess. We all got a little bit of good and a little bit of bad in us, ain’t that the truth?
Anyways, I heard there’s like, a whole bunch more of these angel songs. Like, ninety or somethin’! That’s a whole lotta angels, I tell ya. I ain’t got the time nor the energy to listen to all them, but if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to make ya feel good, somethin’ to lift your spirits, then maybe you should go on and check some of ’em out. They got all them fancy things now, like Spotify and YouTube, where you can listen to music all day long if you want. Me? I still like listenin’ to the radio, but to each their own, I always say. You find what you like, and you stick with it, that’s my motto.
So there you have it, my little take on this whole “songs with angel in the title” business. Ain’t nothin’ fancy, just plain talk from a plain ol’ person. But I hope it made some sense to ya. And if you do go on and listen to some of them songs, well, I hope they bring ya a little bit of joy and peace. We all could use a little bit of that these days, ain’t that right?
