Well now, let me tell ya ’bout this fella, Dwayne Wilson, from that show, you know, the NCIS one. I don’t watch it much myself, too much shootin’ and whatnot for my old heart, but my grandbaby, she loves it. So, I hear things, you know?

This Dwayne Wilson fella, he ain’t no regular on the show, no sir. He was just in one episode, way back in season six. Season six, can ya believe it? That’s a long time ago. My memory ain’t what it used to be, but I reckon I can still tell a story or two.
They called the episode “Collateral Damage.” Sounds kinda scary, don’t it? Well, it was about some kinda mess, I think. Amber Carnahan, that’s another character, she was the main one in that episode, not Dwayne. He was just there, you know, part of the story.
- They say he was pretty good, though.
- Quick thinkin’, they said.
- “Capable,” that’s the word they used.
Now, I ain’t seen the episode myself, like I said. But from what I hear, he did a good job. He wasn’t just standin’ around, ya know? He was in the thick of it, whatever “it” was.
Now, there’s another Dwayne Wilson out there, I heard. Lives in McKinney, Texas. Works with them computer things, “Oracle ERP applications,” they call ’em. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Folks say he’s real good at it, “detail-oriented” and all that. Known him for nine years, they said, and nothin’ but good things to say. But that ain’t our Dwayne from NCIS, no sir. Just a fella with the same name.
It’s funny how names work, ain’t it? You got one Dwayne Wilson workin’ on computers, and another one on TV, gettin’ mixed up in all sorts of trouble. And then there’s that Dwayne Johnson, the wrestler fella, “The Rock” they call him. He makes movies now. Lots of ’em. My grandbaby likes him too. He’s always jumpin’ and punchin’ and whatnot. Good for her, I guess, keeps her entertained.
This whole computer thing, I don’t get it. They talk about “encoded characters” and “internal apps,” and it just goes right over my head. Like tryin’ to catch water with a sieve, ya know? Pointless. Give me a good ol’ phone call any day. At least then I know who I’m talkin’ to.

And these videos they got now, on them little phones and such. My grandbaby’s always watchin’ ’em, sharin’ ’em with her friends. They got music and movies and all sorts on there. It’s a whole different world, I tell ya. Back in my day, we had to go to the picture show if we wanted to see somethin’. And music? We made our own, with fiddles and banjos and such.
Speaking of movies, that Dwayne Johnson fella, he’s in a bunch of ’em. My grandbaby knows ’em all. She tells me about ’em sometimes. Seems like he’s always savin’ the world or somethin’. Good for him, I guess. Someone’s gotta do it.
There’s another Dwayne Wilson, too. He sells insurance, they say. President and Agent, big title, huh? Dwayne Wilson Insurance and Financial Services, that’s what they call it. See? Lots of Dwayne Wilsons out there. But the one from NCIS, he’s just a memory now, from that one episode. Still, he made an impression, I guess. Otherwise, folks wouldn’t be talkin’ about him.
So, that’s the story of Dwayne Wilson from NCIS, as best as I can tell it. Not much to it, really. Just a fella who showed up for one episode and then disappeared. But hey, that’s how it goes sometimes, don’t it? People come and go, and life goes on. Just like them seasons on the TV. One ends, another one starts. And we just keep on watchin’, or not watchin’, as the case may be.
