Alright, so you wanna know about that Woodbine jail, huh? It’s a place you don’t wanna end up in, let me tell ya. But if you gotta know, you gotta know. I heard some things, seen some things, and I ain’t afraid to tell ya like it is.

First off, they got this thing called inmate search. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Well, it ain’t. You just type in some fella’s name, last name first they say, and bam! You see if he’s stuck in there. They got prisoner type, bond amount, all that stuff. Guess it’s good if you’re lookin’ for someone, or maybe you just wanna see who’s been naughty.
Now, if you wanna visit someone in that jail, or maybe send ‘em some money or a letter, you gotta follow their rules. I don’t know all the rules, mind you, but they got ‘em. You probably gotta call ‘em or somethin’. They ain’t gonna make it easy for ya, that’s for sure.
- They got somethin’ called “open records request”. Sounds like a big deal, but it just means you can ask for information. Unless the government says you can’t, that is. They like to keep secrets, them folks.
- And then there’s the “employee access” thing. That’s for the people who work there, not for us regular folks. Benefits and links and all that. Good for them, I guess.
The jail, it’s in Camden County, on East 4th Street in Woodbine. That’s what they tell ya. 209 East 4th Street. You can’t miss it, big ol’ building, probably got bars on the windows. That’s how you know it’s a jail, right?
They call it the Camden County Jail, or sometimes the Camden County Detention Facility. Sounds official, don’t it? But it’s just a jail. They keep people locked up there. Folks who done wrong, or folks who they say done wrong. Sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference.
If you’re lookin’ for someone, you can search for inmates online. They got a prison roster, they call it. Just a list of names, really. And mugshots too, if you wanna see what they look like. Criminal records, too, if you’re really nosy. But I don’t recommend gettin’ too nosy, it ain’t nobody’s business but their own.
They got visitation hours too. Can’t just show up whenever you want. Gotta go durin’ certain times. And they probably got rules about what you can bring, what you can wear. Jails are full of rules, more rules than a chicken coop has feathers.

And if you need to call ‘em, they got a phone number. You can find it online, I guess. Or maybe in the phone book, if they still make those things. I ain’t seen one in years, myself.
The Woodbine Police Jail, that’s another thing. Not sure if it’s the same as the county jail or somethin’ different. Maybe it’s for when they first catch ya, before they send ya to the big house. Either way, it ain’t a place you wanna be.
They say you can find inmate details, like how long they’re stayin’ and stuff. But I don’t know why you’d wanna know all that. Unless you’re a lawyer or somethin’. Or maybe you’re just plain curious. Well, curiosity killed the cat, they say. So be careful what you go lookin’ for.
So that’s about all I know about that Woodbine jail. It ain’t a pretty picture, but that’s life, ain’t it? Sometimes things ain’t pretty. Just stay outta trouble, and you won’t have to worry about it. That’s the best advice I can give ya.
Camden County Sheriff’s Department is mixed up with the jail too. They’re the ones in charge, I reckon. They got auctions sometimes, sellin’ off stuff they took from folks. I ain’t never been to one of those auctions, but I heard they can be somethin’ else. People fightin’ over other people’s junk.
If you really need to know more, go look it up yourself. Don’t come askin’ me no more questions. I told you all I know. Now, go on and do somethin’ useful.
