Well, let me tell ya, this shokojo the animation thing, it’s somethin’ else. Folks are talkin’ about it, ya know? My grandkid, she’s always glued to that screen, watchin’ these animays. Says this one’s pretty good.
Now, I don’t know much about these fancy Japanese cartoons, but from what I gather, this shokojo thing is all about girls. Young girls, I reckon. Like those stories in them magazines my daughter used to read. Always about girls finding love or doing important things. This one’s probably the same, just with more… well, you know… drawings that move.
They say this kinda stuff ain’t as popular as it used to be. Seems like all the kids these days want is that shonen stuff. You know, boys fightin’ and yellin’ all the time. But this shokojo, it’s still hangin’ in there. Guess there’s still folks who like a good story about girls, huh?
- They say Spring 2024 ain’t got many of these girl shows. Mostly just boy stuff. But this one, it’s supposed to be special.
- And there’s another one, somethin’ called “Precure.” Sounds like a cure for somethin’, but it’s just another girl show. My grandkid says it’s been goin’ on forever. Twenty-one seasons or somethin’. Lord have mercy!
This shokojo the animation, they say the characters ain’t just pretty faces. They got depth, ya know? Like that girl, Akira somethin’. She ain’t just some silly girl. She’s got problems, and she’s gotta figure ’em out. Just like real life, I guess. Only with bigger eyes and wilder hair.
And the stories, they say they’re real grabbers. Make ya wanna keep watchin’ till the end. I ain’t watched it myself, mind you. Too busy with my knittin’ and gardenin’. But my grandkid, she says it’s good. And she knows her animays, that one.
Now, some folks say this shokojo stuff gotta be in a certain kind of magazine to be real shokojo. Sounds like a load of hogwash to me. If it’s about girls, it’s about girls. Don’t matter where ya find it.
They got old ones and new ones, ya know. My grandkid, she started with the old stuff. Somethin’ about a “death note” and a “dragon ball.” Lord, I don’t even wanna know. But now she’s watchin’ the new stuff too. Like this shokojo and that “one punch man” thing. Sounds violent to me.
So, this shokojo the animation, it’s somethin’ special, they say. Got good stories, got good characters, and it’s about girls. And that’s important, ya know? Girls need their stories too. Not just all that fightin’ and yellin’ from them boy shows.
If you like girl stories, I guess you should watch it. My grandkid says so, and she wouldn’t lie to me. Well, not about animays anyway. And she says it’s one of the best, this shokojo. So, there ya have it. From a grandma who don’t know nothin’ about animays, but knows a good story when she hears one… from her grandkid, that is.
Anyway, go watch it if ya want. Or don’t. Makes no difference to me. I got my garden to tend to and biscuits to bake. But if you’re lookin’ for a good girl story, this shokojo the animation might just be the ticket. Just don’t expect me to understand it. These young folks and their fancy cartoons… It’s a whole different world, I tell ya. A whole different world.
