Alright, alright, let’s talk about this fella, JPEGMAFIA, or whatever they call him. Heard some of his tunes on the radio, the young’uns play it loud these days. Don’t know much about him, but they say he makes all sorts of music – albums, mixtapes, them EPs, you know, the short ones. Folks seem to like him, so let’s see what the fuss is about, ranking some of his songs, or whatever they call ‘em.

Now, I ain’t no music expert, mind you. I just listen to what sounds good. Some of this stuff is loud, makes your head spin a bit, but some of it’s got a good beat, makes you wanna tap your feet. They say he started making music when he was just a young’un, fifteen years old or somethin’. Learned how to take bits and pieces from other songs, put ‘em together, make somethin’ new. Folks didn’t like it at first, said it was confusing, but he kept at it, that’s what they say.
JPEGMAFIA’s Early Stuff and Some Standouts
First off, they say he made a bunch of them EPs and mixtapes. Don’t know what all that means, but I guess it’s like practice, tryin’ different things. They talk about “EP!” and “EP2!” like they’re important. Someone said “Last Dance,” “Keltec,” and “Panic Room” ain’t his best work, kinda in the middle, not good, not bad. But some other ones, like “Jesus Forgive Me,” folks seem to like that one a lot. Heard it myself, it’s got a catchy tune, even if I don’t understand half the words.
The Albums, Where the Real Hits Are (Maybe?)
Then there’s the albums, that’s where they say the real good stuff is. He’s got, what, five of ‘em? That’s a lot of music, more than I can keep track of, that’s for sure. One album, “Scaring The Hoes,” he made with another fella, Danny Brown. Folks say it’s easier to listen to, not as wild as some of his other stuff. But even on that one, they say some songs ain’t so good, like “Lean Beef Patty” and “Run…” Don’t ask me what those mean, I ain’t got a clue.
- Jesus Forgive Me, I Am A Thot: Like I said, folks like this one. It’s got a good beat, easy to remember.
- Some songs from Scaring The Hoes: Even though some ain’t great, they say the good ones on this album are real good.
- Songs from EP! and EP2!: Even though they said some are just ok, maybe some are good too. It’s all a matter of taste, I reckon.
This Fella’s From All Over, Making All Kinds of Noise

They say this JPEGMAFIA fella, he wasn’t born around here. Born in New York, they say, to Jamaican folks. Grew up in a place called East Flatbush, then ended up in Baltimore. Moved around a lot, just like my grandpappy did back in the day. Maybe that’s why his music’s all over the place, too. Some of it’s loud and noisy, some of it’s got a good beat, some of it I just don’t get. But that’s alright, music’s supposed to be different, I guess. Keeps things interesting.
Hard to Pick Favorites, But Some Stick Out
Trying to rank these songs is like tryin’ to catch chickens in the yard. They’re all different, some fast, some slow, some just plain weird. And everyone’s got their own favorites, just like everyone likes their eggs cooked a different way. One person might like the loud, noisy ones, another might like the ones with a good beat. Me? I like the ones I can tap my foot to, the ones that don’t make my head hurt too much. But I can appreciate that this fella’s tryin’ somethin’ new, somethin’ different. That’s more than most folks do these days, sittin’ around watchin’ that darn television all day long.
At the End of the Day, It’s Just Music
So there you have it, my take on this JPEGMAFIA fella and his songs. Ain’t no expert opinion, just what I hear and what I think. Some of it’s good, some of it’s not, but that’s life, ain’t it? You take the good with the bad, and you keep on tappin’ your feet. They said his stuff got played like a billion times, must be doin’ somethin’ right then. As long as the young’uns ain’t causin’ too much trouble with this music, I reckon it’s alright. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens.
More About JPEGMAFIA Music:
They say his music is called “Experimental Hip Hop” and “Cloud Rap.” Whatever that means. He’s been makin’ this stuff for a while now, and he’s gotten real popular with the young folks. I heard some people like it a lot and other people are just plain confused. Like me, mostly.
